I brought my 5-year-old in today for her first-ever eye appointment and could not be more disappointed in the experience. First of all, we were only there to get a Kindergarten form filled in rather than out of any true need. They called me and asked me if we could come in earlier, but I wasn't able to. When we saw the doctor, it was very clear that she was trying to get through the Saturday afternoon appointment as quickly as possible so she could get out of there. During the entire appointment, she was very impatient with, again, a FIVE-YEAR-OLD LITTLE SCARED GIRL! She literally groaned in frustration. I was astounded by her lack of bedside manner. By the end of the exam, I could tell she was so mad that she wouldn't look at us or even turn on the light or let us know the exam was over. She has been rude and gruff with me before in a previous appointment months prior, and I could care less. But being impatient with my LITTLE GIRL and making it a bad and scary experience, especially given that it wasn't even necessary, just required for school, is just unacceptable. In the end, I watched her rush out of the building to get to her car, confirming for me that the only thing she actually cared about was getting out of there as fast as possible. I will never be back. I recommend that you avoid bringing your young children here.
