Sight for Vision (Gene Sweetnam, OD)

The service was nice. But recently got an unexpected bill in mail. 39$ to some this may be change. But I’m on Medicaid for a reason. They said I initialed for to have the procedure. And I probably did. Thinking it was covered. So in short. It was not explained to me being of not a professional in insurance that it may not cover. Also when you are there for glasses. You obviously can’t read well. So to say we told you by paper is terrible. Wish they would have explained it better. I would have refused. And like they are that hard up 39$. Will never go back because of this.

If i could give this practice a negative star i will. I had a very upsetting experience with this eye doctor, her name is Karen Kim, during my children’s appointment. My son is 12 years old, and throughout the visit the doctor repeatedly talked in front of him about “high risk of blindness in adulthood” and mentioned multiple serious eye diseases without clearly explaining his actual condition or next steps. My 15-year-old daughter was also present and became very worried after hearing this conversation. We left the office feeling scared, confused, and without a clear understanding of my son’s eye health or treatment plan. The way this information was communicated to a child was inappropriate and lacked compassion and sensitivity. The next morning I called the office to express my concerns and ask why such alarming statements were made in front of my young child. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the doctor denied saying those things at all, which made the experience even more frustrating. Parents deserve clear explanations, respectful communication, and reassurance when discussing serious medical concerns with children. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

Dr.Kim in this clinic was extremely knowledgable, courteous and kind. My experience with this clinic was excellent to say the least. I recommend them to everyone .

Our entire family has been with Dr. Sweetnam’s practice for almost 10 years. He is very knowledgeable and goes to great lengths to provide the best care possible. My son was having issues recently with his contacts and experiencing eye pain. Dr. Sweetnam saw him right away and was able to figure out the issue. We are very grateful for the excellent care we have received from him over the years!

My family has been seeing Dr. Sweetnam for almost 20 years. He is a fantastic eye doctor and his staff are the most caring people you will ever meet. Elaine is a total pro on making sure you have the best glasses and that they fit just right for you. She spent almost 30 minutes with me and my new glasses frames to make sure they fit my head and that the focal point was 100% perfect. I really appreciate everyone here and I always recommend them to anyone I know that needs an eye doctor! Thanks!!
