I had an awesome experience at the Simone eye center! Everyone from the ophthalmic tech, to the front desk staff, to Dr. Simone himself was so friendly and warm. I had a hard time choosing a frame I liked the best, so the front desk staff jumped in to help me decide. Literally the best eye experience I've ever had, and this is coming from someone who is extremely squeamish about their eyes.
***Updating to add another star. My glasses came back in a week and the prescription is PERFECT. Kim was there when I picked up my glasses and she is SO nice. I was dreading having to deal with the other woman so that was a pleasant surprise.*** If I was rating on just the eye exam I would have given 5 stars. Everything was great until it was time to pick out glasses. The check in was great. Then ladies at the desk were friendly and funny. The tech and doctor who did my exam were great too. Very friendly. And then I asked about glasses. The lady who "helped" me was impersonable, unfriendly and looked at me like I was the biggest inconvenience to ever happen to her. With a deadpan voice and an eye roll, she vaguely waived at the glasses that were "covered by insurance." I was fully prepared to pay out of pocket for some nice frames but she didn't bother to show me anything at all. After I picked out a few she reluctantly gave me her opinion and wasn't happy when I chose not to have the anti-glare. I don't like the anti-glare coating because it makes my lenses looked smudged and oily all the time. I'm used to people helping you through the whole process of picking out glasses. If they do that at vision chains like Americas best, you would think they would do that at a private office. I will probably come back for my next eye exam but not glasses.
Fantastic experience with Dr Z. Very knowledgeable and sincere. I've had experiences with two other ophthalmologists specializing in Cataracts. The others felt like an assembly line and Simone Eye Center seems more warm and personable.
So glad that Corewell sent me to Dr Z earlier this summer and I had someone to come to for an emergency! Both times they got me in quick and made sure I received the care I needed at the hospital! Everyone in the office is amazing and any time I am in the area and need to see an eye doctor I will call them! Thank you!!
I am so happy with the results of my cataract surgery. My vision is fabulous. The office staff as well as the staff at the surgical center were very cordial and professional. My questions were answered fully. I felt so calm going into this procedure. Five stars is not enough! Thank you all.
