Used to be great but now they chase profit over patient outcomes. Advanced imaging is no longer optional and is now a mandatory up charge even in healthy patients. It is not nessecary for most patients and results in the bill for the visit almost doubling. I've been going here almost a decade and will not be returning. I will go somewhere else that doesn't seek profit over patient outcomes. I was told I could not see the doctor without the upcharge, so I won't see the doctor. I'm sure they'll respond to this review about how the imaging shows more of the eye than dilation, and thats partially true. But it also isn't diagnosticly relevant for most people. It's like selling an car undercoat to protect against rust from road salt in Florida. Will it protect it from road salt? Yes. But that isn't a concern in Florida. And while it does show more of the eye than dilation, dilation shows more of the critical parts of your eye, and the imaging isn't a direct replacement for dilation even though they sell it as such. At the end of the day, if it was medically nessecary and a valuable prevention tool, insurance would pay for it. And they don't.

Wonderful experience at Simpson Optical! The staff was amazing! Answering questions and ensuring that my experience was exceptional! Dr Porter was exceptional. She made sure that she explained everything, discussed options that fit my needs and supportive! I am so grateful to all I encountered!

Simpson Optical at Governors Lane is great. I have always been greeted with a friendly welcome. Everyone is friendly and courteous. I see Dr. Frank and she is amazing. Dr. Frank is very friendly and has a great personality. She will answer any of your questions. If you need anything done with your eyes, this is the place to go.

Mattie did a great job. My stuff was complicated and she communicated wonderfully and helped me figure pur out the best solutions for my needs. Her service and personality was very appreciated.
