I've had Cataract removal on both eyes over the past 30 days. The staff was always helpful, pleasant and efficient. The Post-Op followup have been thorough and reassuring. I chose to get my new glasses there and I'm so glad I listened to my intuition. Jess Schloemer went over and above to provide me with the perfect glasses in the most affordable way. I can't say enough about this incredibly knowledgeable woman.

The surgeon, Brad, was not exactly "forthcoming." However, and most importantly, he did his job well. I got what I paid for after numerous trepidations thanks to less than stellar experiences throughout my long life with MDs, who tend to scare the crap out of me. Brad's team, especially two members, led by lead administrator Kevin (a fellow financial analyst) The Great and terrific, deeply experienced Judy, who grew up near NYC and cuts to the chase and doesn't bullshit you, made the supreme difference in making me go "against my gut." Hell, when you have to sign that you give up any right to sue Brad or his group if you go blind or you lose your eye in order to proceed, you hand your eyes to them on a silver platter and hope for the best. Very hard thing for me to do, but I did it. I did end up listening to my inner voice on both the type of lens I chose (I chose KISS) and whether to have an expensive surgery also done to reduce the risk of glaucoma, where my readings were borderline. Re the latter, I was convinced that having the cataracts removed would ease up my eye pressure, which fell roughly 22% for both eyes eight days and one day after the respective surgeries (thanks, Judy, for confirming what I suspected, de facto underpinning my gut). My distance vision was 20/15 eight days and one day after the two surgeries (monofocal, both eyes), respectively! Caveat: I am scrambling to come to terms with the monofocals' inability to "accomodate," which I found out about through looking online and got a confirmation on (thanks, Kevin). I'm not used to groping for "readers," as I used to put glasses on once a day before in the morning and pretty much forget about them, so until my new corrective lenses are acquired, this part of post op will be hard. However, I knew what I was getting into; unfortunately the optometrist (Colin McDowell) up in Fort Myers has been harder to get a hold of than an alien for three weeks now, meaning I will have to "suffer" with readers that I keep misplacing ("youngheimers") over the next two months as I can't get corrective lenses made in time for my overseas departure on 7/1, ie, assuming there's jet fuel. Lastly, the Snead Eye Group overall experience was good to very good, especially Kevin, Judy, and the surgical crew. Caveat: I had to repeat my name and date of birth something like six times for each procedure. Oh well, small beer stuff. All said, I recommend Snead Eye Group highly (20/15 distance vision helps!). Oh yes, one more for the road: I STRONGLY suggest that each one of you who wants to know what the hell is going on really use the Internet to bone up on what you're getting into ideally BEFORE you contact Snead Eye Group or another cataract removal outfit. ESPECIALLY WORTHY OF MENTION: Eye Health Central online. Check out the site. The surgeon there is honest and knowledgeable. He's GREAT! (BTW, I felt no pain before or after the surgery, had no headaches, could literally see well right after I "woke up," and am taking the eyedrops prescribed religiously and exactly according to the regimen, although I have been a somewhat "bad boy" on the vast exercise restrictions front -- hell, I grew up Catholic! Don't be afraid, and don't be turned off by Brad.)
I had the best experience with Snead Eye Group in Fort Myers. Every staff member was kind and knowledgeable. Dr John Snead was fabulous with my exam and Nicole went above and beyond to help me get the perfect progressives. I highly recommend them! ✔️➕
Great professional staff. My follow up today with Dr Rosner went well. He was personable and professional. Highly recommend his office.
Dr. Coll and her assistants are amazing. They are willing to answer questions in a tailored manner with the understanding that every one has different needs. Absolutely 👍🏽
