I took my daughter here for her eye exam because her Dr referred us there. She did her eye exam they gave us her prescription and we had to return at a later time for her to pick her glasses out. They said the insurance had to approve it first. They called me 2 weeks later said I could go in and she could pick her glasses out. I go later that evening within the timeframe they gave me of when they were open. I go later that day, however according to the receptionist they were at capacity (it was only 3 people btw in the glasses room). I leave show up the next morning 15 mins before they open that section where the glasses are held. They make me wait 30 mins on top of the 15 mins i was already there. My daughter picks her glasses out. Same deal insurance had to approve first and they would call me when the glasses were ready. They said 2 weeks max. Again I wait. 3 weeks later I get a call the lady on the phone says her insurance is not working they were not going to work on her glasses unless I get her insurance fixed that same day. At that point I was fed up and just went to Walmart to get her glasses. I got her insurance situated, but I was not going to wait 2 more weeks for them to come up with something else. I don’t understand why it took them so long. I wear glasses too. I have never in my life waited this long for glasses. Mind you I have an astigmatism and my daughter has a low prescription for her glasses. I understand the whole insurance issue, but I mean it’s ridiculous.

This place has everything in one place. Ophthalmology, Optometry, Retina specialist, they treat all kinds of eye disease and specialize in eye surgeries. Everyone must check in at the front desk... and the Staff moves patients at a fast pace. It is always busy, so it doesn't matter what time you're scheduled expect to sit in a waiting area with no empty seats. But patients are called in on a timely manner. They work by appointment only. The rooms are very clean and well lit. The Specialists are very professional and answer every question. They will do all the follow up paper work if you need further treatment. The only down side for me is that the Optometry department is not very friendly. They just want you in and out. I wanted to purchase additional glasses after my initial pair was ready and it felt like they just wanted me out. They didn't give me options and didn't give me room to ask questions. They didn't even let me look at the glasses on the walls. The good thing is that now I can check othe providers for glasses. Also, the parking situation can be tough. Very small and street parking is hard to find, you might have to drive for a bit to find something.

I had a 9:10am appointment. Soledad Eye Surgery changed it from a date in January, due to they would be closed. It is 9:55am and I have not been called in, and this is the first of two waiting areas that are in series of waiting. This occurs every time I come. I need to look into another office.

We went in there with a 10am appointment and it still took 2.5 hrs for an eye exam visit that only took about 5min. This is beyond ridiculous!!!!! The whole point of having an appointment is to not sit there for hours waiting to be seen.

Contacted this office to schedule an eye exam and was told the soonest appointment is two months away. For an optometry office, that level of delay is unacceptable, especially for patients with vision concerns. Extremely disappointing. Would not recommend.
