Southern Idaho Ophthalmology

I thought a lot about it and a review seemed like the best thing to do in this situation. I’m very disappointed and hurt at what a staff member said to me and my 3 year old child the other day. We came in for a mandatory consult before a surgery and everything about the office was fine. My son was so excited to be there. He loves people and he loves places. He’s been improving a lot when it comes to listening and trying to sit still but again, he’s 3. Today in particular I had thought he was doing really well. We loved the woman who checked us into our room she was so sweet and patient with him. Then our Doctor came in with Jess. Unfortunately Jess did not bring kindness or patience into work that day. The doctor did his job with her help but she was a little rough with my son which I made note of. When the doctor left she was going over notes with me and she told my son “you make me glad my boys are older”. It was awkward so I laughed it off in the moment but it affected me the rest of the day. Then the next morning we had our surgery at their surgery center and the women who worked there were so kind, gentle and patient with my son. I couldn’t help but thank them and, I admit I had to keep myself from crying. They were so shocked I had pointed it out, they never have little kids in their center so they were excited to interact with him. Hopefully next time Jess gets a little kid in her office she will be more kind. You never know what someone is going through.

It doesn't matter if you are the first appointment of the day the wait period is ALWAYS long!!!!! You are NOT their priority! Ive begged to be transferred to a different place and they give me some kind of excuse that says I can't.

During the 3 years I've been receiving care from  Dr. Klingler and his team at Southern Idaho Ophthalmology, they've provided outstanding care for both acute and surgical eye services.  I appreciate the professionalism and courtesy reflected consistently in every aspect of patient care, including the spotlessly clean office, the accommodating scheduling staff, and their willingness to work with patients to coordinate insurance billing and payment.  I can recommend their services without reservation.

Dr Klinger was very good at making me comfortable. The actual cataract sutras just as painless and fast as he said. The staff are awesome also. I have already recommended him to a check out clerk at Fred Myers.

Went through alot just to be denied by my insurance company..twice..they can't help, my insurance wont..wasted money...again. if extra skin on your eyelids makes it hard to see, contact a plastic surgeon..much easier !
