I had an excellent experience at Southtowns Eye Center. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and efficient. The front desk team made check-in quick and easy, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Simmons took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable with the treatment plan. I really appreciated how thorough and compassionate they were—it’s clear they genuinely care about their patients’ well-being. The office itself was clean, organized, and well-run. Overall, I left feeling confident in the care I received and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for attentive and high-quality medical care.

If you are afraid to have cataract surgery go to see Dr Simmons at Southtowns Eye Center. His calm demeanor and how he asks at the beginning and end of each appointment if you have any questions for him reassure that he cares and all of your questions will be answered and concerns addressed. On the day of surgery, he meets you just before you are taken off to the operating room and again is calm and reassuring and asks if you have any questions. He himself calls later that day to check up on how you are doing and to see if you have any questions for him. Once you have decided to have the cataract surgery you meet with their surgical coordinator, Tim, who will be sure that you understand every lens that you can choose and how the procedure goes the day of surgery. He did not pressure me to make a decision on the spot so I went home and researched the lenses. Even after I chose the lenses that I wanted Tim told me that I could change my mind if I had second thoughts. He will make you so feel so comfortable that you will look forward to the procedures. And finally Kayla at checkout was so patient scheduling the two surgeries and then rescheduling after I went right back in after realizing when I got to my car those dates wouldn’t work. She was so kind not to make me feel a bother that day. My husband had his cataracts removed by Dr Simmons last summer and is very pleased with the results. He’s driving without needing glasses for the first time in his life. We see Dr Henry for our routine appointments and have felt well cared for by him as well. One holiday weekend on a Friday afternoon we got to Southtowns just as they closed. My husband was frantic to get a copy of his glasses prescription. Dr Henry was in his car getting ready to drive home. After he asked my husband what he needed, he went back into the building and printed the prescription for him. He had left his car door open because he left so fast to help my husband out. So if you are thinking about cataract surgery or just routine care for your eyes try Southtowns Eye Center. My husband and I see better thanks to them.

I came in for a routine vision evaluation and exam appointment. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the staff. The facility was modern and clean. Dr Anderson answered all of my questions completely. I am comfortable knowing that they will take care of my vision needs going forward.

The entire staff at Southtowns Eye Center is so professional yet compassionate and caring. The doctor thoroughly explained to me my situation so I had no more questions by the time I left they are simply unparalleled in what they do thank you!

I have been going to the Southtowns Eye Center for years and as did my mother before me. The staff is extremely curteous and it is a very professional atmosphere. I have never had any problems with the people or the treatments.
