Dr. Huaman has been seeing my father for years and he has always been satisfied. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the Dr's concern with getting everything right. She graciously took the time to find contact lenses that were comfortable and that my insurance covered 100%. No out of pocket charges. I am more than satisfied.
I waited for over an hour after my scheduled appointment time, so I didn't get seen until right before closing time. The doctor seemed very rushed and skipped checking for astigmatism. Front desk people were extremely rude, which I assume is because they had to stay late, but that wasn't my fault. Recommend going somewhere else.
When in 2017 for a consultancon for double vision. I was told my options where to wear prism glasses and corrective surgery would most likely not work (and to not really consider it.) I went for another appointment and still didn't get any good options for my doivld vision. It was basically made to seem that I would have to struggle with this the rest of my life. I was treated poorly by the doc and her staff. I did not take the doctors advice. I went to Eye Associates of NM and they actually gave me options and we did the corrective surgery and I am seeing completely normal. Please please please don't go there. If I would have listened to Dr. huaman I would STILL have double vision and it is horrifying to think that. Get a second opinion before taking the doctors advice.
I have being seeing Dr. Huaman since she saved my sight back around 2006 after a torn retina..She is thorough and very compassionate.
Dr. Huaman is an excellent provider who actually spends the time to listen to your needs. She will actually call if you have questions. I highly recommend.
