Making sure to get this stellar review on Stanton Optical on Louisiana St. NE. Especially as the technician who helped me was absolutely amazing. His name is Dennis and he was very knowledgeable, considerate, and professional. He quickly helped me and my husband get our prescriptions, and was able to save me money by fixing an issue with my glasses, rather than suggesting I buy new ones. He was thorough in ensuring my vision insurance covered my prescription, and did not charge me for fixing my old prescription glasses. I look forward visiting Stanton Optical in the near future. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for eye exams and prescription glasses.

I have been getting glasses and contacts for myself and my kids here for years. I've also recommended this office to many friends and family because they used to be fast, accurate, and easy to get into. As a busy mom and professional, I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was completely different. Even though I had an appointment, I waited for hours before being seen. I was eventually asked to leave and come back later. When I returned, I still had to wait. I was patient and understanding because this had never happened before. When I picked up my contacts, I knew immediately that the prescription was wrong. I brought it up right away, but I was told it was because of my astigmatism and that I just needed to give it some time. After wearing them, I called back because the problem hadn't improved. Nothing was done. Since I couldn't see properly out of my right eye, I had to buy extra contacts for my left eye just so I could function. I called again to request another evaluation, but this time I was told I would have to pay for another exam because I was outside the grace period. The problem is that no one ever told me there was a grace period. I had reported the issue from the very beginning and followed the advice I was given to wait. I was even told to try wearing the left contact in both eyes. When I called again, I was told there was no documentation of any of my previous phone calls or concerns. That is frustrating because I did everything I was supposed to do. If my concerns weren't documented, that wasn't something I could control. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. What upsets me most is that no one seemed interested in making things right. Good customer service means listening to loyal customers and standing behind your work. Because of this experience, I will not be returning, and neither will my family. That's four customers lost. It's unfortunate because businesses don't usually lose customers all at once—they lose them one at a time when people stop caring about the customer experience.
Extremely upset because they are not willing to help me. I am ew to the state and was told I could come back to get a different brand of contacts that I could afford, then to be told they will not uphold what they told me. It would be nice to have places that are willing to help people. I do not recommend going there. Also during the appointment I was not able to ask questions to any Drs or address any concerns I had. You are out in a room with a screen and then sent to a waiting room to then be forced in to contact brands you did not want. All because they are more expensive and they could try and make more money.
I like this place. I was welcomed in and got assistance right away. There's 2 ladies in particular that were so great and there names are Yuli and Alanna. I hope I spelled there names correctly. They were so professional and nice and I was able to be in and out right away. They gave great customer service and I just know I will be back at this particular place for my next eye exam.
"WHAT IN THE CORPORATION" are the words that went through my mind during BOTH visits. I've literally been wearing glasses since 11 and contacts since 13. I KNOW how an eye exam goes. NEVER in my life have I ever experienced an "exam" like that. It's literally like an eye exam "factory."The first time I went the " one *click* or two" was so fast they all looked the same. YESTERDAY was worse. In between the one and two were other black "slides" and my eyes were having a hard time catching up. I called to cancel last week when I had to take my contacts out BUT I'm too nice and gave em a second chance. Wrong idea. I'm hurting SO MUCH today I almost cancelled. SO NOW I'm out transportation for and exam that was completely useless. Proceed with caution!! 🚨 I checked my previous order from an online glasses company and the prescription from today is literally 2. off from a year ago. I've also ALWAYS known my eye strength...that big of a gap in strength...ridiculous. I'll either get a refund or I won't. EDITED TO ADD: The second time visit, I had my previous prescription pulled up to compare the strength. At the second appointment it was only .25 more than the first AND still two points off from what I NEED. whenever I asked that girl about the difference she literally LIED ABOUT THE MATH AND SYSTEM in an attempt to justify the strength difference. "it's the exact the same prescription we just use different math" 🙄
