First I like that in the waiting room it's written to expect to be there 1 to 2 hours. Their's no surprises on the waiting time. Second I like how the medical assistance check your eyes and your glasses before seeing the doctor. Third the doctor's are very thorough, knowledgeable, and caring towards their patients eye care. Last from the front desk to the medical assistance to the doctors it's a friendly environment, who make you feel welcome and that they give each patient their time and care.

I was not told that I had to have a written referral from my primary care physician until the day before the appointment, when your staff called to confirm it with me. This caused me unnecessary stress because it required me to ask my doctor for this on a fast turnaround! I’m very disappointed that this wasn’t mentioned at all when I scheduled my appointment weeks earlier.
My husband was going through VA to get approved for Southwestern eye center to do his cataract surgery on both eyes. He was supposed to get his first surgery on June 1st, finding out it was postponed for another week because VA didn't have the proper paperwork another week went by, postponed again, again did not receive the proper paperwork, this happened 3 times , finally found out That Southwestern eye center their fax machine was not working. Finally VA received the proper paperwork and my husband was approved. I will say the counselor, Veronica was very patient and going way out of her means to get things done and I thank her for that. As for the surgical center my husband really liked them and they were on the ball. Got things done ASAP and I thank them all for that
At the front desk she is very nice and nice to see a smile when you first walk in. Everyone was very nice and helpful, especially Lilly and Veronica getting my paper work ready for my surgery. I have had a pleasant experience with my examinations and follow ups!
Waited a month and a half for my first appointment and then got a call saying I had to reschedule. Waited two more weeks and got a another call that I had to reschedule again. At that point, after two months I decided to go elsewhere. Then I got a text saying I missed my appointment (that was canceled!). They may have good care but I wouldn't know.
