Don’t be late!!! I took off work early for my appointment, had extremely heavy traffic and a long drive, so I called and said I would be about 10 min late. The receptionist on phone said don’t worry, do your best! I arrived just a few minutes outside of the “window “ and was told “sorry, Can’t see you today, you have to reschedule! It’s not like we wait sometimes in the waiting room for 20-30 minutes waiting on them. Just ranting because of lost work (-$) stressful traffic and no help from them on fixing my eyes!

This location is frustrating - and I have been to several locations. As others have said there seems to be a limited patient waiting area (it seems larger than most other locations but it is always full) at this location and the few times I visited here the waiting room was crowded. Also, a lot of the practice doctors either have limited appointment slots here or just do not want to work out of this location, which is too bad as it is the closest to my house. I have had the best experience at the Lowry location off Quebec and I-70 and that has a much smaller patient waiting area. Something is just off about this location which causes me to drive further with dilated eyes just to get decent care. Even the now closed Superior location and the Golden location seem to function better. I hate writing this because I love my doctors there (both the now retired Dr. Kimura and Dr. Zhang) but I live 5 minutes from this location and it is unworkable for me. I hope something can be done to improve the service here as I like having it right in my backyard.
Expertise, efficiency, kindness, integrity: all describe the care I receive from everyone including the front desk staff, the technicians and Dr Shukla. I recommend Colorado Retina Associates highly.
Terrible patient management. At least 6 elderly people, one standing because they ran out of chairs, waiting in the hallway to be seen. Shuffled in and out of rooms…rediculous! Took my mom 90 minutes to get through her appointment with at least half of it waiting on a chair. What’s the purpose of an appointment? At least 5 people trying to check in…we were standing in a line that went out the door. Couldn’t someone help with check in? Extremely poor patient management!
The staff is absolutely wonderful each time we go in. The doctor that is on our case is quite the opposite. An extreme lack of customer service, patient attentiveness, very short and kurt when he is answering questions which stresses me out to the point I feel like I'm bothering him with my questions. He doesn't face you when talking to you he'll stand on the side or behind you and this quick to get out of the room. I'd much rather have another doctor than to have to see him again . But he performed my procedure so I'll be happy when it's all said and done so I don't have to come back to him.
