Dr. Basham is a very skilled surgeon. He operated on my husband and I. My vision has improved substantially as I had very high stigmatism. My husband underwent cataract removal yesterday and is recovering very well. I do agree front staff is constantly rotating and feel frustrated sometimes. I never heard from surgery coordinator regarding the hospital where the surgery was going to be performed. The information packet they provided didn't specify the portal where I was supposed to update medications for my husband. Because I had been through that before I initiated the contact with the surgery coordinator. All these is very trivial and getting treated by a skilled and professional doctor is more important to us.

My eyelid cyst removal surgery went very well! Dr. El-Sawy knew I was nervous and took extra care to be sure I felt comfortable every moment. The entire team has been top rate!

While the doctors here are excellent, my experience with the front desk was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I mistakenly went to the wrong location and had to drive to the Oak Meadow office. I called ahead to explain the situation, and the front desk staff informed me there was a 10-minute grace period and encouraged me to try to make it in time. I arrived right at the 10-minute mark (at most 1 minute past), only to be told that I needed to reschedule my appointment. What made this especially frustrating was the lack of basic courtesy and consistency. I had already called to inform them I would be late, yet instead of clearly telling me then that I would need to reschedule, they asked me to come anyway—only to turn me away upon arrival. When I politely requested if they could still accommodate me since I was already there, the request was dismissed rather abruptly. This experience felt unnecessarily rigid and inconsiderate. A little flexibility or clearer communication upfront would have gone a long way and saved me a wasted trip.

I highly recommend Dr. TAREK EL – SAWY. I left his office walking on air because he explained everything to me that other doctors did not. This is a doctor that’s not gonna take any chances and try to go too far to make sure that I have a great recovery. He could not be nicer more down to earth and generous with his knowledge and advice. Hundred percent gonna do my lower lid surgery with him and I’m actually very excited about it. I saw five Doctors in both Northern and Southern California and he is by far the best. My search is over and it’s a big relief.

Please do not go to these people. They are miscoding the insurance. I was told that I had punctual plasty. I went to for a second opinion and they saw no punctual plugs. Will follow with insurance.
