I want to start by saying that I have been absolutely satisfied by doctor Liu. He explains everything in great detail and answers every question and is very professional My review reflect the front office, which is not exactly professional. They are somewhat friendly, however, when I called to report an issue and they said that they would send him the message this was at nine o'clock in the morning , I never got a call back . I could be wrong, but I suspect he didn't get the message because I said it was a serious concern.I called back later in the day before the office was supposed to be closed and in a gotta recording saying they were closed.I called at seven o'clock at night and left a message with the service saying how frustrated and upset I was they said they were forwarding the message

I've been a patient for well over 10 years. Dr.liu is highly qualified make no mistake about that. The direction of the practice changed which was not a bad idea just different than the way he was before he had the responsibilities of bigger practice. He was able to listen more to details in the past and he is now focused on surgery. As an educated, patient I would 100 percent trust him with surgery. His staff is the only reason I can't give him a full 5 stars. They can give wrong information, long hold times and you have to keep calling they may not go back to take you off hold. I find his staff could benefit from office training but overall I would recommend his office.
When a specialist takes the time and interest to walk you through your treatment and your options, looks you in the eye when he speaks to you and adds a bit of humanity in his discourse, you feel both confident in him and comfortable in his care. Dr. Liu, from my first visit several years ago was just that kind of Doctor. I am very pleased with his demeanor, expertise and interest in me and what is important to me. He is a rare find these days. I recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for the highest level of professionalism, knowledge and most importantly, concern for his patients!
He is an amazing doctor. Out of all the doctors we had, he is in top 3. Reason for 1 minus star is their staffs. They put you on hold for 10 minutes and hung up on you!! After over 30 minutes of battle, I had to scream don't hang up! What a rude and disrespectfull staffs to work with. Dr. Liu, you want to educate your staffs!
He is more of a businessman than a medical doctor. I've had a few ophthalmologists over decades, and he was the only one asking me to see him every three months for a different test while nothing stands out as evidenced by all negative test results. He also charged me for a 2-minute eye exam for my eyeglasses separately out of my pocket, since the insurance company allegedly wouldn't pay for it. After two years with him, I switched to a different doctor. This one wants me to see him once a year. He doesn't even charge me for an eye exam for my eyeglasses, either. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Response to the doctor's response) Please read my review thoroughly. Your response is irrelevant to my review and doesn't make any sense to me. I never had any problems with my insurance company in regard to my visits to your office. If there is any problem, you must have caused it.
