Update: St Lucie Eye Management owned up to their mistake and made everything right. Questionable professionalism/business practices. My experience consists of Dr. Malk Kirschenbaum conducting an eye exam, and while doing so states that I had an eye lash growing toward my eye from my eye lid, which could supposedly scratch my eye. While the statement seemed silly, she asked if I would like her to remove it. I thought nothing of it and said sure. 2 seconds later with a pair of tweezers, she removed it. I was completely shocked when I went to check out, to learn they billed this as a surgical procedure. You would think, that if this were to be the case, that would be advised in chair. "Hey I can do this, but it will be considered a procedure for which we charge $150." I had insurance, and they initially charged me a separate copay from what I was there for originally. Then I get a call a month later, stating I have a balance remaining because the insurance only covered a specific amount. I was scheduled to have another laser procedure completed, which I canceled, due to the shady business practice. How can I trust you won't bill heavily for some nonsense afterward? I would avoid this place of business.

Dr.Ranas a fabulous doctor very experienced, knowledgeable explains conditions clearly. Very concerned Dr gives all his knowledge to his patience for their best treatment. He’s kind, caring and loving. Very blessed. I found him five years ago. He’s been a god sent to me. You won’t be sorry to use him. It’s a great doctor.

I would not recommend this location if you are bringing your own frames and using insurance for a new prescription. During my visit, I was informed that customer-supplied frames could potentially be damaged during the lens replacement process. Shortly afterward, my frames were damaged. These were Nike frames that I originally purchased for approximately $250 and were less than two years old, in great condition. After the damage occurred, I was asked whether I wanted to purchase new frames in-store using my insurance coverage. I cannot speak to intent, but the timing and handling of the situation left me uncomfortable as a customer. I understood there was some risk involved, but I expected at least some accommodation or goodwill after my frames were damaged during their service. Instead, I was simply told I could use my insurance to buy new frames from them. Why would I buy new frames with them and go through them again after they broke my pair of Nike frames? uh. NO! Based on my experience, I will not be returning to this location.
