Stanton Optical

Today my husband and I went to Stanton Optical in Hanford. His glasses broke and we needed to get something quick. We worked with a wonderful staff member and she was incredible. Super helpful and did everything she could to get the glasses at a price we could manage. We were torn between two options and she said if we changed our mind we could come in and change the order. Within a few minutes, we made the choice to go with a cheaper option because money was tight and this expensive was unexpected. I walked into Stanton and was greeted with the store manager Martha. I explained the situation and she immediately responded with an abrasive disrespectful tone. Another employee stepped in to help and she was pulled aside to talk about something to which the manager started speaking Spanish so I wouldn’t understand what was being said. She told me she wouldn’t deal with me, only my husband and that I wouldn’t be able to change the order. So I went out and got my Husband. When I walked back in Martha the store manager was getting onto the wonderful staff member that I first met with for helping. She was incredibly rude to her staff and putting her down for helping. All the while My husband and I were standing right there. Martha then began to speak to my husband acting as if I wasn’t there. She handed paperwork and nearly shoved it into his hand and walked out of the lobby. I then stood with the staff member and my husband and I told her that she in no way did anything wrong and we weren’t changing the order due to anything she did. She smiled and said it was okay and proceeded to help us. I asked her if her manager was being rude to her, and she quietly said yes, but it’s okay, nothing for you to worry about. I wish I could say I’ve never experienced such disrespect from a store manager but, Martha acted the same way a year ago when I was there with my son. Rude to me, trying to upsell me, and not allowing me to access the sale that was posted on the door because I didn’t qualify. Even though I did. I called the corporate office to advise them of the customer service, or better yet lack there of, from Martha. And the disrespect that she showed my family and her own staff. Be advised if you choose to go there, to stay clear of Martha. She’s rude, and mean without cause, and she only cares about marking sales up and getting more money. Not actually helping the customers.

Elva was awesome! The exam was super quick and easy. I found a very stylish set of frames and their deals and promotions helped with my budget. They were able to make my glasses the same day! Elva helped me find the right contact lenses for me within my budget. Her customer service was phenomenal and she helped me take care of my vision needs with ease.

My visit to the Hanford Optical was great Anthony was very friendly and helpful . I didn’t wait long my appointment was @ 10:30 and I was in and out in not time . Ordering my contacts was a breeze as well Charlene looked and my both my prescriptions one for contacts and one for glasses and price matched it up with my insurance to see what was the best solution for my budget. I chose contacts . I will be returning again .

If i could do 0 stars I would! I called for an appt for my 2 young daughters, was told the visit would be covered completely only to show up after taking my girls out of school to be told I needed to pay $120 co pay. I let the lady know that when I called day before I repeatedly asked the phone rep if there were any out of pocket costs and he said NO. Of course I wanted to be sure before going out of my way for nothing. She basically talked to me like I was stupid or making things up. Ya because I like to keep my kids home from school and drive out of town for nothing right? They will NEVER get my business just based on bad attitude and the facts their phone rep will say anything to get you to go in and don't forget to leave that good review after the call 🙄

Elva has great customer service skills. She walked me through every step of the way I would highly recommend her and Stanton optical.
