I had a good experience when it came to getting my eye exam and buying my glasses, but when I got the invoice, it was around $500+ for two glasses and a few options which wasn't a big deal for me. The issue is that they told me that I have lifetime warranty for my frames and lens when I bought my glasses, and now that I gave them a call recently, they told me that my warranty expired on the 4th of March and that if I need to get new glasses I'd have to buy new ones. Then they start telling me about the "amazing offer" that they have and tried to get me to buy new glasses.

Ok, here is my honest review. So,I was able to do a same day appointment within 15 minutes. I was told the eye exam is $25, $20 for the prescription lens, and a $129 credit towards any frame, which means if you find a frame under that you're only paying $45. When me and my nephew arrived there was a technician at the front helping someone else, and she never said welcome someone will be with you shortly or anything, so we started looking at frames and by the frames to front were colored circles letting you know the prices on glasses that had those circles. After approximately looking almost 8-10 minutes, We were approached by an associate named Maria who had come from the back and asked if she could help us and if we had an appointment . I told her we called, and a gentleman from the call center had just scheduled us. Maria said not a problem and looked my nephew up in the system , then gave us an iPad to fill out information and explained that the eye exam is done by a virtual eye Doctor and that's why we would only pay the rate of $25 for the exam discount rate and $20 for the lens prescription regardless but we would need to pay $79 upfront with a credit card or debit. I asked why is it, that we would need to pre- pay that upfront before choosing a frame. Maria explained that with the special, that's how they have it set and it's prepayed toward the frame you chose that may go over the $130 allowance towards the pair of glasses chosen or any additional add on items. I didn't like the concept, which to me is crazy bwcause as I explained to her is what if we go with a frame within the allowance, we would only need to pay the $45 total. I was told they would refund the difference to the credit card. So , I said ok let me run to the atm, because of course we all know depending on the bank the refund may not be immediately. So, the final outcome is I paid the $79 in cash which included the $25 for the exam and $20 for the lens, and the frames were $140, with the insurance there was the credit of $130, so $10 out of pocket for the frames. The to6 received back was $25. I think this can be good for some people the way they have it set up because they stated they could do same day of lens, but they only had one lens and could have it in by this week. I also noticed they didn't carry name brand classes. Overall, it was an ok experience, and Maria was friendly.

Brenda is angel of the day. Another optical store in Katy promised everything but could fulfill on time for my prescription, was not very helpful.Very mean attitude. Brenda saved me, making my lenses with in an hour, great attitude, and 1/3 price. My goodness, why I haven't found them earlier!!

BUYER BEWARE! Shady business practice! AVOID AT ALL COST! They are running a buy 2 pairs $79 + Free eye exam deal right now. Don't get suckered into this like we did! 1. The $79 glasses are very cheap and bland looking ones. 2. They charge you with a $79 exam fee the minute walk in. You will forget about this when she gives you the "credit" as a discount to the glasses. 3. There's essentially no free eye exam. MJ will tell you they will take the $79 off the glasses, only to give you a false impression that you are getting a good deal, but you are still getting charged $79 on top of the "credit" you get. 3. When she's negotiating the final price with you, she's making it seems like she's throwing a bunch of discounts and credits for you, but when you look at the statement at the end of the day, you know you get scammed. False expectation and shady business practice to rip you off. Stay away!

I don’t know if they know what they are doing or my eyes prescription changed within one month as I went with them and had the eye exam and whenever they called to receive my glasses I was ok but at the same time I feel weird. They told me to wait for my eyes to be familiar with them and settled down. It didn’t happen and my vision was bluest. I went again, pay for a new pair of glasses after they did the eye exam again and then pick my glasses…. Today I’m in other optical business as my vision is really blurry and I know this is not normal. I know my eyes condition can change but not in this short time. They told me the prescription I have it not the proper one and gave me another. NOW I SEE, not only I can see clear but I see how wrong they were doing the eye exam and then giving me the prescription wrong two time I went with them and I see the same blurry and I went to the right place and it worked for me. This is an example of you get why you pay for and if you pay cheap, you receive that. Went to America’s Best and now I can see clear. This mistake is on me because I wanted to give them a chance and save some money. I paid twice for something that I didn’t need. Never again. UPDATE Yes they answered my complain as you see in the review but didn’t contacted me or try to fix anything. I waste a lot of money in these glasses and they didn’t care. If this is the way you do business no wandering why you don’t have business. Do I trash them then????
