Michael at Stanton Optical saved our butt!!! My husband lost his glasses in the ocean and we have to drive home (which is 20 hours away) in 2 days. 😬 Michael hooked us up with a great deal and took care of us quick. Vacation saved!!!

Came in with an appointment, so no wait. Great efficient experience with friendly service and no upselling pressure. Crystal, Angela & Jose were very friendly & helpful. Good selection of glasses colors and frame styles as well. Would definitely recommend to family or friends who need some new glasses or contacts. English or Spanish speaking as well.

I recently had to switch eye care providers due to an insurance change and, since Stanton Optical is close to home, I figured I’d give them a shot. That was my first mistake. We had appointments on April 20—two “virtual” eye exams (yes, via video). The video doctor experience was completely impersonal, I could barely hear him, and honestly, I felt like I was giving myself the exam. I’ve been getting eye exams for 15+ years, and every single time I’ve had a digital retinal scan as part of the process. Not here. After the exam, we moved on to glasses. My husband already had frames he liked—3 or 4 pairs—so he just needed new lenses. After sitting there for over two hours, we were quoted over $2,000 for lenses only. No new frames for him. I had picked out just one pair. Let that sink in. We walked that way back. Ended up ordering ONE set of lenses for my husband’s existing frames for $364.91 (yes, WITH insurance), and I decided right then I’d go elsewhere and pay out-of-pocket. Five days later, I went to Costco Optical and got Dolce & Gabbana frames with progressive prescription lenses for $332 total—no insurance. So somehow, Stanton WITH insurance is charging more than Costco WITHOUT it. Make it make sense. We had also looked at some rugged hiking frames at Stanton—around $150—so we held off and did some digging. Costco pointed us to Lens 4 Less. They didn’t have the frames either, but here’s the kicker: they told us to just buy the frames online and they’d do progressive + transition lenses for $239—no insurance. That’s $125.91 LESS than what Stanton charged WITH insurance. Again… how? And here’s where it gets even better. I went back and bought the hiking frames from Stanton for $144. They handed them over in a plastic Ziploc bag as the “case.” Not kidding. Also, they sold me the floor display pair—even though a new pair was sitting right there. The employee literally swapped them out while ringing me up. Same exact brand (Pentax), I later found online for $62.50, with an actual case and interchangeable bands. So yeah… lesson learned. Then came the customer service circus: My husband had to return the next day to pick up his frames because we had to leave after waiting over 2 hours. When he went back, the employee argued with him, insisting he had already picked them up. Only after being pushed to check did they “find” them and apologize. Completely unnecessary. Fast forward—yesterday we get a call saying his lenses are ready. He goes in today, and suddenly it’s, “Oops, we made an error. It’ll be another 2 weeks.” Meanwhile, I get a text the SAME DAY from Costco saying my glasses (ordered later) are ready for pickup. In 15 years of wearing glasses, I’ve never had an experience this disorganized, overpriced, and frankly, ridiculous. Bottom line: Even WITH insurance, Stanton Optical cannot compete with Costco Optical or Lens 4 Less WITHOUT it. Add in the poor service, mistakes, and nickel-and-diming, and it’s a hard no. I would not recommend going to Stanton based on my experience.

Gotta give HUDGE a shout out the store manager JOSE and his assistant Michael . They not only help me with my destroyed glasses when I came in last minute with no worming. They also help me with finding 50% deals off my glasses. I highly recommend this specific location not just Stanton optical for your glasses and prescription needs

The staff are extremely kind. This is not a staffing issue. This is definitely a company issue.. the staff must be informed not to tell people it is a Tele appointment. Nobody told me I would be talking to a man on the TV and everything would be automated prior to going into the appointment. They also do not provide you with a hard case for glasses. What kind of eyeglass company provides you with eyeglasses without a case to protect them in??! they’ve got some major corporate issues to sort out before I ever think about going back
