Went in for exam at end of April. Purchased glasses at another optical store. Difficulty seeing with new prescription so was told by staff at Steinhauer to come back for recheck. Today I received a surprise bill for an office visit. When I called to question it, I was told I was charged “because you got your glasses from another location, and you are outside our 30 day window”. This was never explained to me at the time this was all occurring, and the office staff was incredibly rude. I will never return to this practice, and I wish I had read other similar reviews on here. Beware of hidden policies that aren’t disclosed to you if you choose to get your eye care here.

I recently had a pair of glasses that I bought online break (won't do that again) 10 days after the warranty ran out. I took them to Steinhauer's and Susie, with creativity and a little luck was able to fix them enough to get by until my next scheduled appointment. She was so helpful!

Have been a patient at Steinhauer Family Eye Clinic for years. During my annual exam in January, I told Dr. Andrew I was having trouble seeing the spin on the tennis ball, and also the indoor lights were bothering me. After the examination I learned my astigmatism had worsened. Dr. Andrew suggested prescription RecSpecs for tennis, and I ordered them. Have played indoor tennis twice with the new prescription RecSpecs, and they work GREAT! I can see clearly and the overhead lights don't bother me. Today I got hit in the face with a tennis ball, and my RecSpecs protected my eyes. Thanks to the Steinhauer Family Eye Clinic team for wonderful customer service and always listening to patients. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend all the Steinhauer Docs! I’ve seen all of them, they are sooo willing to help their patients and are thorough and compassionate. I recommend them to everyone I know. Love Dr. Tom, Andy and Brian! Great Docs!
