I am very picky when it comes to picking out glasses. Toni is the best ! She gives me so many selections and will also tell me yes or no. She had patience for me that my wife doesn’t. Will alway go to sterling and to Toni.

Price are outrageous. All designer glasses starting at $299 before insurance. My previous doctor had designer lenses starting at $129 Before insurance, and I’ve never paid more than $50 out of pocket for my frames. The doctor was great, however, trying to upsell me on lenses Makes me think that they must work on commission. This place is a rip off, I’ve never not gotten designer frames until I came here because my job changed our insurance and I was looking for a quick place to use my benefit before the end of the year. I chose the ones covered by my insurance fully, which was one little corner to choose from. I would’ve been better off going to Walmart.

I came here for glasses back in Sept. 2024. When I came back to get my glasses I was disappointed, to say the least, when I put them on in the car and everything near me was blurry. Not just uncorrected, but worse than my vision without them. I went back to the store several days later and was told that I got single vision glasses and if I wanted that fixed I needed “Progressive” lenses which would be an additional $350. The problem I have here is that they were never offered or explained to me and since I was very clear that I am a professional interstate bus driver I felt this is something they should have recommended. I initially took them to Small Claims court, but I foolishly accepted a deal where they would replace the lenses for only $100. The problem is that as the weeks and months have rolled by I have thought it over and I feel giving these people any more money would just be a double dumb move for me and I honestly have no faith that I will be satisfied. I have decided to just donate the glasses (and at least get a tax write off) and chalk it up as a very bad $700 mistake to have gone to Sterling Optical in the first place, and I assure you I will never come back here or to another Sterling Optical again.

*** Today 1/7/21*** I have adjusted the one to three stars. The owner of the store did reach out to us and provided a full refund for my daughter's glasses. She had no problem making the adjustment and we appreciate that she was helpful. Customer service is lacking at this particular store. We purchased three eye glasses totaling over $700 (one of the three was for my young daughter who was not with us). My husband and I had second thoughts and returned less than 30 minutes after purchase and asked to please cancel the glasses for my daughter only. She was not with us to try on/select glasses and we decided it was not a good idea to take a chance. The salesperson that helped us would not process a refund, she only provided a store credit. I have never heard of a policy where you can't return something even though it's only been a few minutes past the initial transaction. I could try understand if a week past and the glasses were in production and we're already being worked on but this was paperwork in their bin from 30 minutes prior. If store needs to keep my 300 as credit, there must be something wrong with their customer retention and financials! This is be the last pair of glasses I order from Sterling Optical.
