I had an extremely frustrating experience with this clinic and won’t be returning. From the beginning, it felt like every interaction was centered around finding another way to charge me. Instead of answering my questions directly, they repeatedly pushed additional tests and procedures, often using fear-based explanations that made it seem like something serious would happen if I declined. It came across more like a sales pitch than genuine patient care. Communication was another major issue. I left multiple messages with questions after my appointment and rarely received a response. When someone finally did get back to me, they often couldn’t answer my concerns or had to transfer me to someone else. The most frustrating part was being charged for additional visits because the staff failed to complete everything correctly during my original appointment. Their mistakes became my financial responsibility, which I don’t think is acceptable. A medical office should prioritize patient care, clear communication, and competent service. Instead, I felt pressured, ignored, and nickel-and-dimed throughout the process. There are plenty of eye clinics that value their patients more than their wallets, and I would recommend looking elsewhere

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Olson-Merrick! The entire experience was professional, thorough, and genuine from start to finish. You can tell she truly care about her patients and take the time to make sure you understand everything. If you’re looking for an optometrist who is knowledgeable, kind, thorough, and genuinely cares about their patients, I highly recommend!!

Picked up my new glasses seemed okay until I couldn’t read the church messsge on the tvs upfront. I had to take my glasses off to read it. I stopped by to see if there was an easy fix. The gal didn’t offer to look or adjust my glasses. She said the prescription was made correctly because it is checked before I picked them up. She said I needed a new appointment with the doctor. She made the appointment…in Junction City not in Springfield. A 60 mile drive. I had to cancel and reschedule a month later. Revision Today when I went in the doctor redid the appointment. There is a slight change and asked the gal to recheck my glasses. This time she took my glasses in the back, adjusted the side pieces and adjusted the nose pieces. A simple solution which should have been done when I came in over a month ago.

Zero star experience. Made an appointment, showed up 5 min ahead of schedule only to be told "we cancelled your appointment because you didn't provide insurance". No text or anything, just cxled. I asked if I was a new walk-in, if they would have been able to work with me. This lady at the counter had the audacity to say "yeah, but then I'd have to call the billing department"... What is your job even??? The tldr on this, is that the appt was at 3PM on a Friday, so the optometrist got to leave early for the weekend with zero regard to the customer. Shame on you, shame on your receptionist, shame on your optometrist, and shame on Albert Edwards for running what can only be described as a loose and sinking ship. Look at your reviews once in a while, you can't rest on 4 year old laurels.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Sterling Vision. I came in for a routine eye exam, having been seen at this same location about three years ago, and the visit immediately went downhill. The technician appeared very inexperienced and unprepared. She told me they had none of my prior records because the previous doctor no longer works there, which makes no sense for a medical office. The interaction only got worse from there. She asked if I wear contacts, I said no, and then immediately asked if I was wearing contacts right now. That pretty much summed up the level of attention and professionalism. When I explained that my vision hasn’t really changed, she responded with “then why are you here?” in a dismissive, almost confrontational tone. At that point I was already questioning the quality of care. Unfortunately, the doctor, Jennifer Kruid, did nothing to improve the situation. She came in without any introduction or basic courtesy, didn’t acknowledge what had just happened when I explained it, and seemed completely disengaged. There was no attempt to reset the tone or provide a professional patient experience. I ended up walking out of the appointment because I had zero confidence in the care I was about to receive. I remained calm and respectful, but this was easily one of the most unprofessional healthcare interactions I’ve had. This location clearly has serious issues with training, communication, and overall professionalism. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
