Really disappointing experience. Spent about two hours in the office to then be seen by Dr. Boyle for less than five minutes. She recommended an over the counter product and mentioned that the next step would be a steroid ointment prescription. Tried OTC for a week with absolutely no change, so I called the office to ask for the prescription. After calling three times, I finally received a call back stating the doctor said “there really wasn’t a need” for the prescription. They’re requesting I come back in; I was just there last week! Why even mention another treatment option (both in person and in the medical chart) if you’re going to refuse to prescribe it?

If I could give zero stars, I would. I waited two full months for this appointment. Leading up to it, the office bombarded me with reminder calls, emails, and text messages, and I even completed all the pre-registration paperwork. I took time off work—losing both time and money—only to walk in today and be casually told at the front desk, 'Sorry, he is out, can we reschedule?' It is incredibly unprofessional and sends the clear message that this doctor thinks he is better than his patients and that our time means nothing. You can't demand strict adherence to appointments from patients and then just cancel on them at the very last second when they are physically standing in your lobby. I will never go back here. Save yourself the headache and find a doctor who respects you

Never had a doctor go so above and beyond for me like Dr Gorgani did! Everyone in the office was so nice and it was very comforting to have such kind people and a Doctor who did everything he possibly could. 😊🙏

This facility operates with systematic disrespect for patient time. Management herded 32 patients into a waiting room, fully aware of a 2-hour backlog. This raises a question of basic logic: If you are running 2 hours behind, why continue to schedule morning appointments? The double standard is glaring. A patient arriving 2 hours late would be turned away, yet the clinic demands we accommodate their failure to manage a schedule. Even if the 2 hour estimate given by the receptionist was acceptable, my experience is that patients need to wait about 2.5 hours to be seen by an opthalmologist. I had to cancel work meetings and other urgent medical treatments because of this. This amounts to operational incompetence and contempt for patients and working professionals.

Competent medical treatment but abysmal patient services. Instead of using the efficient Patient Portal system that most doctors use at SBU- ophthalmology use a defective knock-off, they haven’t hired enough staff to cover their phones and their voicemail system for leaving messages for specific doctors is broken. Clearly, this practice doesn’t want to be contacted by patients. That said when you reach the staff or doctors they are very nice & knowledgable.
