Strong Optical at Finger Lakes

I needed to have a relatives records sent to a new provider d/t a change in insurance before I could schedule an appointment. I called Flaum at least 2 weeks ago and was told they would send them, no issues. Today i found out the new provider has not received them. I called Flaum and was on hold for 20 minutes having to press no. 2 every 30 seconds in order to stay on hold. (Super irritating). Only to be disconnected. After another 20 minute hold i finally spoke with someone only to be told I needed to call medical records to do that. She gave me a number to call which turned out to be a psychology office. The actual number was not even close. After searching for a number on line and three more phone calls I reached medical records. One hour of phone time to accomplish a simple records request. BTW the receptionist is well aware said they have " 70 complaints a day "about the phone system. So Flaum why dont you fix it?

From the comprehensive exam until we got it right, this staff exceeded expectations. Every interaction was a pleasure, all staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Quality control caught an imperfect lens. When the prescription came in it wasn't quite right for me. The staff said, "if you can see better, we want you to see better". We did another exam and my insurance covered a slightly different prescription that was perfect! Thanks again for everything.

Dr. Germain provided outstanding care for my special needs daughter. Rachel has cerebral palsy with optic nerve damage and has had multiple vision specialists over the last 26 years. Dr. Germain is, by far, the best vision physician to have worked directly with Rachel. We are clients for a lifetime!

My son has been coming here for about 7 years now and it has always been a great experience. The staff is attentive and they go out of their way to make his experience a good one. We appreciate this place for all that they’ve done to help!

The care I received is adequate. However, I checked in 15 minutes early for recommended check in time for my appointment, was informed to wait in my car, and ended up waiting nearly 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. This to me is completely unacceptable. They are seeing less patients, and I checked in early. There should be no reason to be pushed down the line that far, and then have to wait outside in 90 degree weather for 2 hours. I called at a little past an hour out and was told "oh sorry, Dr. Is running behind and another PT is now before you". I believe I may have been forgotten in all reality. I would have left if it wasn't so urgent to be seen.
