I could not have had a worse experience. I was on vacation in Orlando & left my contact lens bag at home with my glasses; I was wearing my lens. Later once I realized this, I went to Walgreens to find what I could. I wear hard lens so I knew there would be some things not sold in stores. I got what I could & decided to go the next morning to an optometrist office for the rest. I called ahead to ensure this facility had what I needed. I explained my situation telling her I needed the Preservative Free Saline solution, the plunger and the tool for putting the lens in. and the lady assured me they did. She was very kind and helpful. She retrieved the items she assured me I needed. I was skeptical since the solution she brought me did not look like the one I used at home; however, there are so many kinds and they are the professionals, right? I asked, "so this is what I need?" She said, "yes." She charged me $15 for the 2 tools & $30 for the solution. A bit outrageous but, okay, I was in dire need. I handed her a $50 not thinking that she did not give me change, but oh well. The night before I had suffered so much because I couldn't get my lens out that I was letting my eyes rest as I did not have my glasses either. The next morning I prep my lens to put them back in. Unfathomable SCREAMS came out of my mouth! I was ON FIRE! I could not open my eye AT ALL! I was in so much pain! Finally, I get it out. We came home that morning because I was in so much pain. I would have made a B-Line back to this office but it was not open yet. I called later and spoke to a lady who sent me to another lady who sent me to another lady, Mira, I believe her name was. I explained everything to her. She said that I had poured hydrogen peroxide in my eye and that's why it was on fire. OKAY!? I did not ask for peroxide, I asked for preservative free saline solution! She then proceeded to tell me that I should have "read the box, where it says not to be placed in the eye." I explain for the 5th time that my glasses were AT HOME! She told me that I should never leave my glasses at home! I told her that I am 61 years old and have been wearing glasses since I was in the 3rd grade and have never been anywhere without my glasses! EVER!" She replied with, "Well, I've been wearing glasses for 21 years!" She then told me that I should know better. OH MY GOODNESS! I am sobbing at this point and this lady was just overbearingly rude and continued to interrupt me as I was trying my best to get her to understand. Of course, I said she was rude and she implied that I was as well; I probably was. As I was heading to my own optometrist's office, I told her I was having the bill sent to her business since they were the reason I was having to go. She vehemently said, "No! We're not paying for anything!" And, I did tell her to have a not so good rest of her day! It's been 6 days and I still have not been able to wear my contacts not to mention the $200 I've had to fork out. And YES I see the red on the top of the box but I did NOT have my glasses & literally could not see trusting this optometry office to give me the right product I asked for! DO NOT waste your time here.

EDIT: *** The canned response to this review shows you everything you need to know about this place. The term "Board Certified" apparently holds zero significance if they can't even dim the lights, focus on the patient, and dial in on the best vision for the patient and then take the time to 100 percent double verify that the patient can actually see better between "1" and "2". If your patient is leaving the office with a -.50 in one eye that instead should be "plano", they clearly will have blurry vision in that eye. Either she wrote the prescription wrong or she failed at her job. Either scenario is unacceptable. The fact is the practice is disorganized, messy, the receptionist assistant is not qualified, and the doctor is distracted by a toddler running all over the entire facility unrestrained *** The "doctor" performed unnecessary procedures above the typical eye exam (retinal photos) that required a significant copay. She never asked my permission for this. I have had 3 eye exams in the last 2 years. She is the only one that performed retinal photos to write a vision RX. There are just a handful of frames there most of which are for children and women. The frames do not have prices. I asked about one pair that I happen to know the MSRP (the average price range elsewhere). They stated the frames were 500 dollars. I know for a fact these frames generally sell for 130 to 180 dollars at other optical centers. My insurance covers premium lenses but at a higher cost to me. These costs are based on tiers 1-5. The doctor never offered me a choice of lenses. She chose the basic tier 1 lenses instead. While those are completely covered by insurance, they are not quality lenses and have terrible coatings. Those coatings scratch easily and wear quickly. I would have been happy to pay a higher copay for a better lens tier. I was not told about any of that. Possibly because the eye insurance company offers incentives to prescribe the lower tier lenses to keep costs low. These incentives for the optometrist are not available for the upper tier lenses. I am happy they got their financial incentives from the vision insurance but it was at my expense. The RX I received is completely incorrect. My vision was blurry and I could not see. I had to wait two months for an appointment with a new Dr. I had to pay to get another eye exam done and that doctor could not believe how inaccurate my prescription was. No only was each eye completely wrong, the astigmatism was a significant number of degrees off. When I was brought into the exam room of Sure Vision Center by a technician, there were other clients in there trying to put in contacts over a sink. I was given the initial exams (PD distance, eye pressure test, etc.) in the same room just feet away. Absolutely zero privacy. The doctor had to leave the exam twice to help the receptionist at the front. I was there over 2 hours for just an eye exam. During most eye exams, the doctors generally dim the lights. Instead, she kept the lights on bright during the entire exam, which made it difficult. The receptionist is also the assistant that took my initial measurements. She was distracted, unprofessional and rude -- both over the phone and in person. In the front of the office, there is a small waiting room. Both times I visited there is a child that I was told is 2 years old and is the daughter of the doctor. Children are fine, but this is a business. The child has free reign of the office. She entered the eye exam room no less than 6 times and distracted the doctor during the exam. She had to stop each time to interact with and attend to her 2 year old daughter. The business was unprofessional, disorganized, and completely ineffective. I would never go here again even if the eye exam and glasses were offered for free. I prefer to see clearly, thank you.

The staff at Sure Vision were extremely polite! They provided excellent customer service! My son was seen at the ED and was told he had a scratched cornea and had to follow up ASAP. With an eye doc. I called a few places the following morning before I came across this business. I am so very pleased that i chose to fo here. Without hesitation my son was fit into there schedule asap. The knowledge and level of care he received from all involved in his care was above standards!

Updated Review I paid over $1,000 for contact lenses almost a year ago, and since then I have gone through four different trials. Every single pair was extremely painful they pressed on my eyes so hard they cut circulation and started stinging within 2 hours. Each time I was told the next pair would fit, but none of them ever did. Between pairs, the office would also “forget” to place the next order, causing long delays on top of the bad fit. On top of the cost and pain, I live 30–40 minutes away, and every visit would take about 3 hours total between travel, waiting, and the appointment itself. After doing this repeatedly for almost a year, with no solution, it became exhausting and unfair. After nearly a year and four failed attempts, I finally asked about a refund. Instead of resolving the issue, I was told that because the company “made the contacts,” I might not qualify as if that excused the fact that they don’t fit and cannot be used safely. I was even told they wanted to order a fifth pair, but at this point it feels unreasonable and unfair to keep me waiting and trying unsafe lenses. For context: I left the fourth bad pair at the office on September 2, 2025. Then, on September 8, I returned for another visit where the doctor insisted on trying them on my eyes again which, for the fourth time, caused severe pain and discomfort. Today, September 11, when I called for an update, the office casually said “next week.” This level of delay and disregard after so many failed attempts is astonishingly careless. Given the financial loss, the medical risk, and the repeated negligence, I will be now moving forward with formal complaints to all responsible authorities, including the Florida Board of Optometry, the Florida Department of Health, the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, the Better Business Bureau, and my insurance provider. If this office cannot provide a safe and usable product or issue a fair refund, then outside agencies will need to intervene. I rarely write negative reviews and I sympathize and always try to support family businesses , but this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, financially, medically, and in terms of time wasted. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing specialty contacts here to be fully aware of the risks and the lack of accountability if things go wrong.

Much different than in 2024. Inefficient. Running late. Uncharge without saying anything. Recommend unnecessary expensive extras (Google eyelid cleaning). Frames are all expensive (over 300) so not fully covered by insurance (most places have some cheaper frames). Had to remind them to send rx for eyedrops. Prescribed expensive brand contacts and wouldn't change to cheaper brand. Optometrist cares so much wont change rx but couldn't be bothered to print out care plan. It's all about the $$$ and upsell. Pt care is definitely secondary. Definitely go elsewhere.
