Dr. Walent and his team are excellent. From front and back of house the teams are knowledgeable and efficient. Best yet everyone is very kind. I have seen them for years and always have a positive experience here. I also rarely review anything but they deserve the shout out!

I always have a wonderful experience at The Eye Center. Dr. Walent is superb—professional, thorough, and genuinely caring. The entire staff is friendly, accommodating, and makes every visit go smoothly. Appointments are always easy and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Walent and his team!

highly recommend this office. For a smaller practice, they are incredibly organized, efficient, and welcoming. Zach at the front desk is knowledgeable and always helpful with any questions. James makes the testing and scans quick and comfortable. Dr. Walent goes above and beyond a standard eye exam—he takes the time to understand my autoimmune condition, explains how my medications may affect my eyes, and ensures I receive the proper monitoring and care. I’ve been to My Eye Dr. and Wilmington Eye, but I’m so glad I found The Eye Center. The level of care and attention here truly stands out.

I honestly cannot believe how amazing this crew is. Dr. Walent is so compassionate and caring and so darn intelligent. I have PTSD and being in a doctor's office has been so difficult for so many years. He has been understanding and reassuring and relaxing. I feel safe, listened to, and cared about when I am there. Oh. And he is so patient and understanding. When I am about to stress and not know the difference between "number one and number two." I just tell him. And he understands perfectly. We can go back and forth and try different things and take a break and go from one eye to the next and back again. Seriously. Literally these are the LEAST stressful doctors appointments ever. And the office managers (Mr. Smith) and the techs and everybody are so helpful. You can tell that they do not view this as a job. But as their way of helping people out. Especially in a way that is so life altering. I keep coming back EVERY year. And they have the images of my retina on file and I can see the differences (and lack of differences) through the years. I am definitely following Dr. Walent wherever he goes. (Oh. I didn't take a picture while I was there. But I did take a silly picture next door to send to my wife. So here it is. For engagement 😝)

I have been going to EyeCenter Wilmington for several years now. I would not go anywhere else. From the front desk, to the optometric technicians, to the optometrist, everyone is professional, friendly, and caring, and the process never feels rushed. Zach is wonderful! Always smiling, and so knowledgeable. And Dr. Walent has the patience of a saint. I always seem to have a question that feels complicated to me, and he always has a simple and thorough answer. My eyes are not easy to deal with, but he comes up with the right solution every time. I highly recommend Dr. Walent and EyeCenter Wilmington.
