The Eye Center of Central PA

I cannot recommend The Eye Center highly enough. When I needed emergency surgery to save my sight, Dr. Ou acted with incredible dedication, staying after his shift to ensure I was taken care of. He is not only a talented surgeon but also a compassionate communicator who puts his patients at ease. The entire office staff is professional, welcoming, and efficient. I am so grateful for the excellent care and the wonderful outcome.

Dr. Hansel is a brilliant optometrist and an amazing human being. I have been his patient for 20+ years and he has helped my eyesight and comfort in many ways. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor to take care of my eyesight. He’s thorough and patient during exams. Betty is a ray of sunshine in the office, always with a smile and warmth. She is one of my favorite staff members at the office.

Great experience at the eye clinic yesterday. The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr Onishi was thorough and took time to explain everything clearly. I especially appreciated that he remembered I had mentioned a vacation over a month ago and ask me about it. It really made the visit feel personal. Highly recommend anyone looking for attentive quality eye care.

I remember taking my mom to the Eye Center of PA a few years before she passed away. Little did I realize I would be going there myself years later! When my eye doctor diagnosed me with cataracts in both eyes, I did not hesitate to tell him I wanted to go to the Eye Center of Central PA. I remembered how wonderful everyone was to my mom and I can honestly say I was not disappointed with my care over the past 2 months! I highly recommend Dr. Spencer Onishi, along with Donnel Apuzzio, MSHS, PA-C and the staff at the Eye Center of Central PA! From my initial consultation to my 2 cataract surgeries, along with follow-up appointments, their level of care and professionalism was outstanding. Dr. Onishi was so kind and patient as well as highly skilled. He took time to explain every step of the procedure and answered all my questions. He even came to see me before both surgeries! I was so grateful for all his support and advice to help me recover from my surgeries. My vision is so much clearer and I can see without my glasses! I can honestly say, I was at ease throughout the entire procedure. Donnel Apuzzio, MSHS, PA-C was also so kind and caring as she examined me during my follow-up appointments the day after my surgeries. She is very skilled and also took time to answer all my questions, as well as giving me good advice that helped me in the recovery process. Along with Dr. Onishi and Donnel Apuzzio, MSHS, PA-C, I also appreciated the care I received from all the nurses. Everyone was so kind to me and supportive of one another; they are truly an amazing team! Thank you all so much!

My previous Opthamoligist retired, and today was my first annual appointment with Dr. Ou. From reception to check out everyone was friendly and efficient. I encountered 4 members of the staff from beginning to the end, and of course, Dr. Ou as well. His exam was thorough and painless. He explained his findings and answered my questions, and I left with an appointment for next year. I would recommend this practice without hesitation.
