The Eye Doctors

I had a great experience at the Eye Doctors this morning. Erin at the front desk was very helpful. Lucy and Lexi that completed my pre-testing were kind and efficient. Dr. Morrison was great as well. She listened to my questions and took time to understand my concerns. Great experience all around!

I have gone to this location in the past with good experiences, but this year I will be purchasing my glasses and lenses elsewhere. The staff have been very courteous and professional, but somewhere along the lines things have become very disorganized. The wait times are very long, even to get to the front desk. In my recent appointment, after being seen and waiting on help to finalize purchasing, etc, I was told if I purchased lenses and glasses at the same time there would be a discount. I wanted to try the lenses out, so I asked if I would receive that discount if I came back the next week. That was confirmed, and they said they had all of the information needed, so I would just need to pop in and make my final order when I was ready. I came back, waited in another long line to talk to a receptionist, only to be told the person I worked with did not write down the glasses information, and I would have to wait for them to finish with other guests to redo that part of the appointment. I didn’t have time, so I said I would return. This morning I received a text that the lenses I did not order were ready for pick up. I tried calling, but it goes to a national call center. After another long wait, I was hung up on when I finally connected to someone in this state. My only regret now is that I will need to return yet again to get the prescription that the woman working with me did not provide despite my request (to be fair, I assumed it would be fine and all would go smoothly so I didn’t push for it the day of my appointment). This location used to be run very smoothly, but it seems something is going wrong now.

I was a new pt at the 29th & Wanamaker office. After checking in, I was met by a smiling and bubbly nurse Gabby. She did all my preliminary vision tests and tokke me to the exam room. After a couple minutes, Dr Bechtold examined my eyes. He is very kind , knowledgeable, and informative. Then I was assisted in picking out my eyeglass frames. They have a very wide variety of frames I chose my frames. She got them ordered and I should have them in 10 days- 2weeks. I highly recommend The Eye Doctors to everyone in need of eyecare!!

I came in needing a new pair of sunglasses with a prescription and they couldn’t use the prescription that I brought But they did get me in that day to get my eyes checked without a scheduled appointment, so that was really great. The associates that helped me were very good at what they did and made sure I was treated properly. Now I guess as long as the new prescription that they put in my new sunglasses work for my eyes I will say they’ve done an excellent job

All the staff at the Wanamaker location are amazing! Liz and Dr. Morrison were fabulous, polite and helpful. The optical techs were helpful and honest in helping me select frames that looked good. Highly recommend this crew and location!
