My doctor is awesome. The actual exam time and process is actually pretty fast and efficient. What is not working is how long from time of check in to actually being called to the exam area. Last few times I had to wait over 40 minutes. This is unacceptable. I am considering looking into a different retina specialist. I work in order to have insurance so I can go to get my check ups. I can't be not at work for so long.
I am so grateful for the wonderful care I received from Dr. Sheng at RGW. He is truly one of the kindest, most caring, and knowledgeable ophthalmologists I have ever met. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, listens to his patients, and makes you feel comfortable and confident in your care. Dr. Sheng is not only extremely informative and compassionate, but he is truly exceptional at what he does. I could not have asked for a better ophthalmologist, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about his patients and takes pride in providing the very best care. I would like to recognize Jose at the front desk of the Alexandria office. Although I was never personally checked in by Jose, I had the opportunity to observe him during several of my visits while going through a very stressful retinal emergency. Whenever another front desk team member needed help with the computer system or finding information, Jose would quietly step in with remarkable patience, kindness, and professionalism. He always remained calm, respectful, and supportive, helping his colleagues without ever making anyone feel uncomfortable. As a patient, it was reassuring to see someone who leads by example and contributes to such a positive atmosphere. Professionals like Jose make a real difference, even in ways patients may not always notice. Thank you, Jose, for your kindness, professionalism, and dedication. It does not go unnoticed.
Dr. Kasi is always great. The assistant (Rekia) who dilated my eyes and preformed the other appt prep measures was delightfully personable. As usual, my visit to RGW was efficiently conducted and a pleasant experience. I recommend RGW most highly to anyone who may require their services.
Great experience today at The Retina Group of Washington. Very smooth experience from scheduling the appt to the end. Staff i found very nice and my tech was so wonderful. He eased me through any concerns throughout all of the imaging. Be sure to be prepared for the dilation, as your vision will be impacted for a few hours. Dr. Katira was super kind, very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly so that I could understand. She also provided a great pamphlet to take home and read up on it. Fantatic experience at the Alexandria location.
