I ended up lost on the elevators finding employee health where I met an employee that works in respiratory I think Jafeth R.. Not only did he explain where to go, he went above and beyond and walked me there communicating that to his fellow co worker. As an employee of Liberty Hospital working alongside KU that is exceptional service. What we are trained to do with our care. So thankful to be lead the correct way to join my sister’s beautiful journey of her baby number two!

Giving it an overall 3 because my antepartum stay was incredible! I had some great nurses! Thank you ladies for taking care of me. Now the NICU- I think KU is great for sick sick babies however if they are a feeder / grower, they will not dedicate the time it takes if your baby is a slow eater. We were told many times our baby was “behind” and she wasn’t. She just eats slow. Their resolution instead of spending time with her was put her on a G tube. I was not accepting that. She was transferred to Centerpoint Hospital and they did not have to do ONE Ng tube feeding. She was out of the NICU taking all full bottles in 4 days. The nurses at Centerpoint were able to treat her like a human - not a robot which is the strict KU protocol no matter how much I tried to advocate.
More stars are needed for the exceptional care I received at The University of Kansas Health System Hospital! During my unexpected 3½-day stay for recent esophageal surgery, every single member of the team who cared for me was nothing short of outstanding. This was my first experience at this facility, and I arrived already feeling anxious—not only because of the surgery itself, but also because I was more than three hours away from my home, my family, and my business responsibilities. From the moment I arrived, the compassion, professionalism, and genuine empathy shown by the entire staff helped ease that anxiety tremendously. Every team member I encountered treated me with kindness, respect, and sincere concern for both my medical needs and my personal situation. Having spent time in several hospitals over the past 12 months, I have a deep appreciation for how demanding and stressful careers in healthcare can be. That is precisely why I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in my care—the surgical team, ENT specialists, pulmonary team, nurses, support staff, environmental services, transportation personnel, and even the food service team. Each department contributed to making a difficult and stressful situation feel far more manageable and comforting. The facility itself is modern, much like an airport terminal, well-maintained, and highly professional, but what truly sets it apart is the caliber of its people. Their commitment to patient care went far beyond my expectations. If you are in need of ENT or esophageal-related medical care, I would strongly recommend considering this hospital and team. My experience was truly above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. Modern facility. Wonderful people. Exceptional care. A+++.
This would be a hospital that I would never go to . I was having a miscarriage and they did blood work and labs and I had military insurance but it only took$20 off my whole medical bill worst experience of my life . They couldn’t give me a real answer why I had my miscarriage they said I had a ectopic pregnancy and then my egg was out of my fallopian tube and if that bursts I can go septic and die. I waited in the waiting room for over four hours and I was bleeding and loosing my baby . The staff was horrible
World class service, physicians, and staff. This place is top to bottom the best in a four or five state area. Every person and physician I’ve met has gone above and beyond for my care. I can’t express enough gratitude for everything they have done to get me back on my feet.
