I recommend getting both your glasses and contact prescriptions at Warby Parker, which offers transparent pricing($150 for both without retina imaging), professional experience, and good prices on products. this place is none of the above. They quoted me $190 for eye glasses and contacts prescriptions. But actually charged $399 which is ridiculous, I had to spend extra time after the appointment figuring out why they either gave me the wrong quote or charged me extra for no reason. They eventually honored the $190 they initially offered, but I can’t help but wonder, had I not spoken up, would they have still honored the promised price? I regret not getting this done at Warby Parker

For me, everything starts with first impressions. Cleanliness, professionalism, organization, and the overall patient experience is my #1 concern. Unfortunately, my first impression of Total Vision was, “Nah.” I do want to start by saying that I really like Dr. Blanc. My rating is not a reflection of the doctor, but rather the overall condition and professionalism of the office. When I arrived, there was no greeting or welcoming acknowledgment from the staff. I was then given a laminated form to fill out, which I found strange, especially when I watched it being sprayed with Lysol right in front of me so it could be erased and reused. It felt very unprofessional and honestly a little tacky for a medical office. If the information is going to be erased afterward, I’m not sure why this is the process being used in the first place. The check-in area also appeared cluttered and disorganized. Unfortunately, that impression continued when I was taken back for my eye imaging. I was the first patient of the day, yet there was still trash in the room that appeared to have been left from the previous day. That immediately made me question the office’s cleaning procedures. My biggest concern was the equipment. I work in the medical field, so infection control and cleanliness are extremely important to me. I did not observe the equipment being disinfected before I was asked to place my forehead and chin directly against it, both during the imaging and again in the exam room. In a healthcare setting, that is concerning. I was also surprised by the attire of one staff member who appeared to be in a supervisory or management role. She was wearing what looked like a sports bra/crop-style top. Regardless of the weather outside, the office was adequately air-conditioned, and I personally did not feel that type of attire reflected the level of professionalism expected in a medical office. Overall, there were simply too many things that made the office feel unorganized, poorly maintained, and less professional than I would expect from a healthcare facility. Dr. Blanc was the positive part of my visit, and I genuinely liked her. Unfortunately, the overall office experience would make me very hesitant to return.
Every part of my experience at Total Vision was fantastic. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Doctor Ma is very professional and thorough in her explanations when I had questions. Everyone in the office went above and beyond.
I came in for a routine eye exam. I was told that the total cost would be $190 by the receptionist. After the exam I was charged $400 without any explanation regarding the price breakdown other than “that’s just what it says”. In the end, the person processing payments was willing to honor the initial quote.
Michael was absolutely wonderful and helped me decide what my best options are. I haven’t had an eye appointment in over 20 years so Michael had all the patience in the world as I had tons of questions. Wonderful experience.
