Dr. Murakami is the friendliest optometrist that l’ve had throughout my years. I’ve had numerous optometrist since I was a child, and she has been very detailed when explaining some of my issues and possible issues due to my history of contact sports and family medical history. Dr. Murakami performed a very thorough exam with my eye examination, dilating my pupils and going over my various choices for contact lenses and prescription lenses. Side note, I was actually impressed that she remembered some of my personal information that we had discussed from my previous visit 2 years ago. This lets me know that she listens to her patient and it makes me feel that she really cares about her patients. We are not just a number to her, but she cares. She is an outstanding optometrist with great “bedside“ manners, and I would recommend her to everyone. The staff at the office was very helpful and fast, there was no extra waiting, and they were on time.

I’ve been to a few optometrists and am glad to say, that I have finally found “a home!” The entire staff is friendly and professional. I never have to wait long to be seen, the office is clean, AND, I love Dr. Murakami! She is so “bubbly” - she remembers my personal history, so, when we talk, it’s not like I’m just a patient. I never feel rushed out of my appointment. She is very thorough and the appointment doesn’t feel just about eye health, but, overall health. 🤗. Thank you! Dana

Dr. Schmalle and her staff are so professional and friendly. I always have such a great experience at every appointment, which is why I keep coming back! I've been a patient of Dr. Schmalle for over 15 years and I will continue until she refuses to see me or retires. She has such a warm and genuine way about her that just makes you feel so at ease (even though you get your eyes dilated and the eye drops suck big time). They were pros and got the drops in without making me cry too much! 😉 Thank you so much Dr. Schmalle and the wonderful staff at the Pearl City Walmart Vision Center! I appreciate you all!! 😊

Super nice!!! Very friendly staff! Helped me get my eye sight checked and provided me with excellent resources and choices for Prescription Glasses, Polarized Glasses as well as Contacts. However, I chose glasses which brings me to another amazing factor they have; they have an amazing selection of frames to Cheap$9 to Top quality brand name frame. Overall, I am satisfied with the Optometrist and the staff as well as the layout, many options, and prices!

My son referred me to Dr. Jana Murakami because he had an amazing experience and was very impressed. I wish I came to her earlier. She is so sweet and witty.
