I went the first time and he said my vision issues had tripled and mentioned he wanted to see me the next week no charge for a re exam because there was a freckle on my eye and it needed further testing and he was very concerned with it and if it was his daughter he would want further testing done ASAP to make sure it wasn’t cancerous. I paid nearly $300 for this (I have no insurance) then I go the next week and he throws in a $179 charge again for the re exam and tells me there’s no concern with the freckle (he did no further testing) and even mentioned me coming back a third time but I said to give me my new prescription. He did the same thing with someone else I know.

This is the least kid-friendly place I have ever encountered. I took my 3-year-old in for a checkup and it was her first time there, she was scared. After 2 minutes of explaining what was going to happen to her by me, the doctor said for us to get out of the room and I can talk to her out there .she has never seen this man in her life and he was going to examine her there. she said no and started turning and he said that if she keeps playing these games we'll have to reschedule hands down this is the worst place possible to take a kid to. Especially a scared toddler. Cleveland eye Care in Shelby is a drive and it's where She went when she was barely two and they are amazing with kids

I asked for a note for my children to return to school And a note stating that I was here today for me to take to work in case I was late. The lady at the front desk slams my notes on the desk as if I did something wrong. When I asked her if she was ok no response just rolled eyes. I told her I can’t help it if my kids need to return to school and I need to show my job why I’m late she looks up at me and says spell your name so rude like. I spelled my name and she shoved the notes in my face like here you go!!! I don’t know what type of reaction she was trying to get out of me but I’m not that kind of person. For my first time returning in two years this was not the experience I was expecting nor the negativity I needed first thing in the morning.

Came once over a year and a half ago. They weren't kid friendly, and the appt was my daughter. The STAFF not once smile, nor patient, I could feel the tense. I found out today, after confirming the appointment twice, that Medicaid will not cover my kiddo's visit. *** Note: She was a patient over a year-ish ago. *** This was an appointment that could have just saved me time. To top it off, still, it does not feel welcoming there, I should have looked elsewhere before this appointment; lesson learned.

I went to my appointment today to Tri City Optometrics and they told me that they don't do business with Humana anymore and they didn't have the decency to call me to tell me that unless if i pay out of my pocket, they can't see me anymore. They had the gull to tell me to change my Medicare plan and i told them no!
