Patient Complaint I have been a loyal customer of Tus Ojos for more than 20 years, bringing not only myself but also my daughters and granddaughters for our yearly eye exams. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I have decided that I will no longer be returning. Last week, I went in for our annual checkups and ended up spending over $300 on glasses for myself and my granddaughters. Although our insurance offered free frames, I chose to pay out of pocket for better-quality glasses that my granddaughters preferred and wanted. After leaving, I realized that I had been overcharged. I waited until I was contacted to pick up the glasses so I could bring the issue to their attention. What was most disappointing was not simply the billing mistake, but the way the situation was handled. Instead of acknowledging the error and correcting it professionally, the two employees in the back Daniel and Jorge became upset and appeared to have an attitude about refunding the $20 that I had been overcharged. There was also discussion with Wilfredo, the owner, about giving me the additional $20 back. I was extremely disappointed that something so simple became such a big issue. Eventually, they did refund my money, but I left feeling frustrated, angry, and disrespected. When I returned to pick up my granddaughters’ glasses, I asked why the situation had been handled that way. I explained that I have been coming to this establishment for over 20 years and that I could not understand why they became upset with me simply because I noticed an error and asked for the money that I was rightfully owed. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What matters is how a business handles those mistakes. A simple, “You’re right, we made an error, and we’re sorry,” would have been enough. Instead, I felt as though I was being treated as if I had done something wrong for pointing out their mistake. I made it clear that after more than 20 years of being a customer, they have now lost my business. I will not continue going somewhere where I feel I was treated so unprofessionally over $20 that they had mistakenly charged me. This experience also left me wondering how many other customers, particularly elderly customers, may have been overcharged without realizing it or may have felt uncomfortable questioning a charge. I am sharing my experience because customers deserve transparency, respect, and professionalism—especially when the business is the one that made the mistake.

It's at 412 Lehigh avenue. It's about a quarter way down from 5th and Lehigh going towards 4th Street. You'll see the sign saying TUS OJOS. You see the entrance lot, walk toward the back, and you'll be there. The only thing here is that it's crowded. I had an appointment for 10:15, and I got checked, but I'm still waiting for the eye doctor. There's no in-and-out; you'll be waiting, no doubt.
I am beyond disappointed and concerned with the treatment my mother received from both Tus Ojos and DelVal ASC (The Eye Surgery Center in King of Prussia). My mother was a patient at Tus Ojos and was referred by them to DelVal ASC for surgery. However, following the procedure, the surgery center failed to provide her with any follow-up appointments. When we called Tus Ojos to resolve this, the staff was incredibly rude. The representative claimed it "wasn't their problem" and even denied that they had referred her there for surgery—which is completely false. To make matters worse, the surgery center is now claiming they don’t accept her insurance, and Tus Ojos is refusing to see her for a necessary post-surgical check-up. Leaving a patient in limbo after surgery because of administrative finger-pointing is negligent and unprofessional. No one should be treated with such disrespect when seeking medical care.
Never again The lady that checked my eyes didn’t check them, right and was in a rush!! And rude….the person that took my information for my Len didnt take it right!! Went back the same day and they said they couldn’t give me my money back and it wasn’t my fault. It was the Person‘s fault they took my information.!!! So now every time I go to any eye doctor or doctor I’m a record our whole conversation cause I know I wasn’t wrong!!! Never again!!! Bad Service!!!!😡
