We just started taking our daughter here for her ENT. It was a little bit of a longer wait, but it seems like any office is going to have a wait no matter where you go. With this being children focused it was very friendly, and comfortable for our daughter.

Horrible Emergency center , I think this place is ranned by someone . Anyway, my daughter just was having fever. They claimed they ran all viral test and didn’t come up with anything so why would you keep giving her medication Tylenol ibuprofen back to bed back to bed for a fever but give it sometime I will usually space out eight hours if I see my daughters constantly having to take pain medicine for fever. Do not like the way the workers here is it’s like some type of self-control. Some type of control. I just did not like this hospital my daughter started acting very unusual her last day staying here and I think it was from taking so much medication and not eating right . So they said all her viral test came back negative and they just wanted her fever to go down or her to drink fluids, but I told them to go ahead and discharge my daughter because I didn’t like how the doctor was kind of rude doesn’t give you much time only in there to talk to you for 30 seconds and ready to leave over talking you
Took my six month old to see the specialist at the EMT office. For one, we thought we had an appointment with a doctor, not a physicians assistant. Physician assistant named Margaret and Monica were in our room 7. Walking in the room, I heard the ladies saying not sure why we’re being put in this room which was a red flag to me while I was put into a chair to hold my son for the procedure. The chair was broken. Margaret mentioned we’ve been having issues with This in a couple of the scopes. In which our rep replied, these issues should’ve been reported to Bio-med. Moving forward, she tortures my son, shoving a Scope down his nostril for a few mins. She was having extreme difficulty getting the camera to focus because the tube was bent down my son’s throat. She pulled it out gave my son a break. Monica removed the faulty piece of equipment from the room. Oh wow, my son‘s nostril is pouring blood. Monica went out of the room and came in with another device in which she tested, which should be the policy and procedure behind this type of method not once did either one of them test the device before entering into my son’s nose on the first setting. So with the new scope, the procedure took no more than 20 seconds and she was done at this time. Both nostrils were bleeding. I felt Margaret was very insensitive dealing with a six month old. And coming to this type of specialist, Monica didn’t have any knowledge on what was going on whatsoever. We were pointed to come back to a new Doctor Who had more knowledge. It was a little puzzling she tried to prescribe my six month old Flonase, in which this is for children to end up. Her attempt failed to prescribe it so she told us to get it over-the-counter. Coming from My Children’s Hospital I think this is very unacceptable. When a manager was asked to be spoken to. We were told that she was working from home which I understand it being a Friday, etc. but there should be someone else in charge. Being a Children’s Hospital or any other hospital, medical equipment being faulty is a huge, no no.
The lab was phenomenal! One stick and we were done. Results came in quickly and I can’t thank the team enough for how they cared for my son. If we need to ever do bloodwork again, I’ll have full confidence at Children's Plano campus. Thank you!
I had a really upsetting experience at this children’s hospital when I took my newborn daughter for her two-week screening. The African technician, Belle, made a racist comment toward us as an Asian family. Right after calling my daughter’s name, she said, “Ching Chang Chong” in a mocking way. She tried to cover her mouth like it was a slip, but my wife and I were just shocked. This kind of thing is so wrong, especially in a kids’ hospital! It’s only the second time in years I’ve had to deal with such blatant racism. We didn’t say anything at the time, but it’s been weighing on us. On top of that, Belle’s work seemed off. She told us to remove the gauze pad after 25-30 minutes, but when we took it off after three hours, the cut started bleeding again. It felt like she made a bigger cut than needed. I don’t know if it was intentional or just poor skills, but it made us question her competence. I really hope no one else goes through this. Please think twice before coming here.
