Unacceptable, appointment was at 2:30 pm. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment. When I asked the front desk clerk what was going on, I was told Appointments can run up to 2 hours and that my appointment slip also reiterated this fact. I was never given an appointment slip when I scheduled my follow up. I understand providers can run behind. If you are running behind the customer should be made aware at checkin. I use the term customer, because that's what this is, a buissnes transaction. I am PAYING for this service. Last time I checked, I was not paying to have my time wasted because of inept schedule management. I also find this clinic unsanitary, the technician that dilated my eyes did not wash her hands nor clean any equipment with sani-wipes of any kind. I find this to be insulting given the current pandemic. Moreover, Dr. Merkly does not wash his hands prior to physically touching a patient. Who knows how many germs he has spread. Lastly, the exam chair is not cleaned between patients..at all. As a medical professional I find that this clinics lack luster performance and infection control procedures could potentially put patients at an increased risk for disease. UTMB please feel free to contact me if you need any further clarifications or do not understand what I have written.
Very knowledgeable, caring, professional and really kind and can see how much he wants the best for you.
I was just treated so badly. My appt is 9:00 am and when it turned 9:45 - I went to the window. The woman told me the appt could take up to 2 hours. She then said you could be here until Noon. When I questioned her in a concerning way - she raised her voice at me.
Great service. Very good customer care. Dr. Khan did cataract surgery. Results were fantastic. No pain or discomfort. Highly recommend the Hospital and Dr.
