Vandalia Optometry

I went here for several years and had no issues. But 10 weeks ago I made an appointment to get new contacts (they were booked that far in advance, apparently), and when I finally arrived, I was only then told my insurance is no longer accepted. Maybe it's not protocol to check when appointments are made, but it should be. Now I'll have to wait God knows how many more months to get into someplace else, when it all could have been avoided with a more proactive and conscientious staff.

I called to ask if Vandalia Optometry on Elva Court in Vandalia, Ohio would accept my Medicare healthcare plan and the receptionist assured me that they accepted ALL Medicare plans. A few weeks later I received a bill for the full amount due for $175 for an annual exam and that my Medicare was not covered by their office. Their ignorance and lack of knowledge is not an acceptable business practice along with their refusal to compensate me for my payment.

Wow. Lady that answers the phones is a bit of a prick. Wasn't sure the name my insurance as I was looking it up and the lady's like "well why don't you give us a call back when you figure it out" and hangs up. Like damn I'm not going to y'all if that's how you talk to people.

Called to get my son an appointment. They asked if he was a patient. I said no. And the girl was so cruel and mean and said we aren't accepting new patients. It is fine but be kind and not so snotty. The reception is a rude rude person. Came in today. Made me feel like I was a piece of crap. Dr Davison is good

Wonderful visit with Dr. Davis and her team! She’s incredibly kind and truly knows her stuff. Now I can clearly see why she is the best in town. 🤓
