I cannot say enough great things about Vision Care. This was my first time here. I came in for an eye exam. Everyone was so friendly and explained everything so I could understand. When I asked questions they were answered. I was not hurried at all. Doctor was kind and gentle with last eye exam. When done he again explained everything and answered questions. They all really listen to your needs and wants concerning whatever you are coming in for. Then picking out glasses the young lady showed me what my insurance pays for and what would be extra. She didn't stand over me. She let me look around for awhile and when I was trying to choose helped me with face frame and pros and cons. She never pressured me to choose. I picked some eyeglasses and they had me pay the difference of what my insurance would not pay for. This was a first for me. They were fair, honest I didn't have to give me glasses over. I couldn't believe my glasses were a very fair price. Just having to pay the difference was huge. The receptionist when you check in and out are fabulous. They make sure you need nothing else. Also will text you for next year's appointment. I told them it's like a dream. I will have to drive by here tomorrow to make sure it was all real and actually that easy. I have been to other places for my eye needs but Vision Care on Hamilton is Top Drawer in my opinion!!!

Listen, if you want or need a great eye doctor then come here. Doctor Keith Schrunk is mine and he has always been so kind, courteous, funny, easy going and well versed on everything for my needs and appointments. The staff are also absolutely amazing and always kind, helpful and fun! They really go above and beyond.
The exam was quick and thorough and I truly felt like I was in good hands throughout the entire appointment. The Doctor and workers were very friendly and welcoming as well so I felt really cared for as a patient while I was there.
Had a piece of wood in my eye. ER missed it and said it was just a large corneal abrasion (which there was one at the time). Of course after leaving the ER (St. Lukes downtown sioux city) i was still in quite a bit of pain but the biggest symptom of a corneal abrasion is feeling like you have something in your eye. I slept on it for a day. Woke up still in quite a bit of pain. Went into vision care clinic on hamilton and sioux city and the doctor found it right away! Prescribed some medicated eyedrops and sent me on my way feeling MUCH better then when I arrived! Thank you! Would recommend!
If I could give a zero star review I would. I will not be returning here. Made an appointment for my daughter. At the end of the appointment, after I was told she didn't need glasses they (the doctor and assistant or whoever does the other part of the exam) told me my daughter was not a good candidate to get her eyes dilated and they wanted to take a close up picture on a white machine to see the back of her eyes. I asked if it was required to be able to complete the appointment because they already told me she didn't need glasses. They said again that if I didn't want to do the pictures then I could have her eyes dilated but she wasn't a good candidate. So after the photos they told me my co-pay price (with insurance) and then an additional $30. I asked what for and they said for the photos of her eyes. I told them I only wanted done what would go through insurance. The doctor and front desk lady both said "If we run it through insurance first it would be $39, so we give it to you for a little cheaper". I realize it is not a huge amount of money, but I specifically asked for only what was needed to be able to run the appointment through insurance. Not every one has an extra $30 they weren't expecting to pay.
