The folks in the optical dispensary are okay, but the optometrist (Dr. Robert Horner) was horrible to me. He was rude to me and to the VSP customer service representatives when trying to confirm my insurance coverage. He was very belligerent and kept cutting us off, acting as though he was unquestionably right. Additionally, he was completely un-accommodating of my medical condition when acquiring readings for ocular pressure and such and kept rudely telling me to sit still. I felt rushed through my entire exam, and my concerns were not adequately addressed. Because of this experience, I absolutely do not recommend this provider. When I picked up my prescription glasses, I immediately noticed they were incorrect. I could feel the eyestrain right away and felt nausea in my stomach. I expect a slight change from one year to the next, but I have a gut feeling this prescription is grossly inaccurate. Even after wearing corrective lenses for 15+ years, the optician told me I have to deal with it for two weeks before the doctor will see me again. That is simply not right. I KNOW what glasses should feel like, and this is NOT it. I highly recommend that if this is your experience as well, please contact your insurance provider to file a grievance and to see about getting a second opinion.
