I had a very disappointing experience at this office. I believe the owner, who also seems to be the doctor (an Asian woman with long hair), helped me when I went in to ask a simple question. She seemed rushed and more focused on making a sale than helping an existing customer. While I was speaking with her, she cut the conversation short and ran to assist another person who looked interested in buying glasses. I was already a customer and only asked if she could quickly check whether my glasses were loose. I also asked if she could look up my insurance to see whether it would cover new glasses and what the approximate cost might be. She told me there was no reason to check my insurance unless I was ready to buy glasses, which I found extremely rude and unhelpful. Customer service overall is not great. With the exception of a young tall Asian man and an African-American woman who were polite, most of the staff seemed cold and uninterested in helping customers. On top of that, the prices are extremely high. I looked at a pair of sunglasses that they were selling for $325. I later went to the main store that carries the same brand and the original price was $225, and they were actually on sale for $89. Overall, the experience felt very sales-driven and lacking in basic customer service. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

VisionWorks Doctors of Optometry in Elk Grove has been taking care of my eye checkups and eyeglasses since they opened in the Sacramento area last year. I had my last eye exam a few days ago on a Saturday morning with Dr. Cindy Lam. She is very professional and careful. I received her excellent and attentive care. The experience is very similar to my last visit in 2023. All the workers were amiable and helpful. I received excellent service and advice from everyone there. VisionWorks in Elk Grove is one of the best companies I have ever been visiting!
Great experience, optometrist was very friendly. Specifically the regular staff they were all very friendly and welcoming especially Ryan, who helped check me out. I enjoyed my time there.
My wife and I actually found a optometry we like. Every year we're like "Eh, let's look for another place". This is the first place we will be going back to. The staff is super friendly and professional. The experience was laid back and comfy. But in the past with other places I had issues when I received my glasses. Hopefully this time it'll be different 🤞
This place made me so uncomfortable on so many different levels. The manger Huyen is over the top ingenious in her customer service. Huyen and the Dr. were either whispering about another employee or about me while I was in the office, either one was not ok. I seen a note regarding my interactions from a previous visit, when I asked to see the note Huyen quickly said no and rush away with the note, so weird. It was so uncomfortable for some reason she needed to announce to me that she is the office manager, I asked her why would she tell me that?? She didn’t know what to say…unprofessional. I ordered glasses because I was in shock at how weird she was behaving, but called and cancelled, I got a horrible vibe from this place, can’t comfortably be a customer there.
