Had a very good experience at VisionWorks overall. The staff was friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful in guiding me through different frame styles. The store is clean, well‑organized, and the service felt professional from start to finish. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the selection of non‑prescription glasses for men was a bit limited. I was hoping for more variety in styles and colors. Still, the team made the best of what was available and helped me find a pair that works well. I’d definitely return for future eyewear needs.

My experience at Visionworks at Ridgedale was disappointing. The eye exam itself was great, the doctor was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable. The problem was with the front desk staff (two men working there). I repeatedly told them they were not applying my vision insurance correctly, but they ignored my concerns and only applied a discount plan instead of taking the time to verify my insurance. The employee who helped me was unfriendly, rude, and didn't explain anything. When I returned and pointed out the mistake again, he was still reluctant to check. Only after calling my insurance did he realize my coverage was active, and they refunded the money I had been overcharged. While I appreciate that they corrected the mistake, it happened only after wasting my time. No one apologized or explained what went wrong, and the attitude throughout the process was unprofessional and unpleasant. I left with no desire to return.

At first everything seemed fine. I got my glasses in, and they were the wrong prescription. They told me it was due to my eyes adjusting to the progressive lenses, but they were single vision. They checked again and the glasses were made wrong, so they re ordered. I got a second pair of glasses from another retailer and the prescription was wrong in those as well. I came back for a prescription check, and I was again told it was because of my eyes adjusting to the progressive lenses. The dr rechecked and blamed the computer for “adding random numbers. It does that sometimes” After I got the prescription, I was almost home and realized they printed out the wrong prescription for me again, so I had to go back. I am now a month and a half past my initial eye exam and still no glasses from them. Absolutely avoid at all costs. Waste of time and money.

Love this location for fast, friendly service. Customer service is awesome. The glasses I wanted online was cheaper. I found them at this location for the original price. During my vision appointment the service was nice, so I still got the glasses i wanted.

Guy who ran the scanner in Eden Prairie wouldn’t adjust the height of the machinery. We couldn’t get a good scan so he sent me to Ridgedale a day later because they don’t have eye doctors in Eden Prairie. Drove up to Ridgedale to get an eye exam from the doctor. The machine to dial in my prescription was so far off to start I laughed at it. Glasses came in two weeks later, new prescription was worse than my old. “Try them tomorrow,” I’m told by the only person working. I’ve had glasses for 40 years! I know what to expect on new glasses day! I made an appointment where I was getting my glasses to get a recheck of my perception, paying out of pocket because my new vision insurance doesn’t cover my old place. That check found indeed, my new visionworks prescription was way off. Bumbling, and fumbling at every step. Wasted time. Incompetent customer service, rude staff at two locations. Unforgivable. Atrocious. Never again.
