Do not recommend the Henrietta location. No one said hello when I walked in so I waited 30 minutes before even getting acknowledged that I was there for an appointment. They were short staffed and the roof was leaking into the main area. The doctor changed my prescription drastically without informing me and it ended up being an over correction, so now I have to go back in for a new prescription. Contacts were ordered without my consent and a generic brand was substituted for the name brand I’ve been wearing for years. The new contacts are extremely dry and uncomfortable. I will never go to this location again, this place is a mess and the optometrist couldn’t care less, just churn and burn the patients out of there. My regular location is Webster and the doctors there are so friendly and work with me to get my prescription just right. They explained that prescriptions aren’t always cut and dry, and I prefer my eyes to be slightly under corrected so I can see close and midrange. Right now I can only see far distances which doesn’t help me around the house or at work. Maybe if I was a bird watcher or something, but it’s frustrating to have to go back twice now and possibly buy all new contacts.
Sue is my favorite customer service person. She always makes sure she answers all my questions and gets me the best coupon or deal she can to save me money. She also gives me her honest opinions about how glasses look on me. She makes it a pleasant experience to come in and visit.
Cleanliness of this facility is 0/10. Exam room- the place you put your face on the chin rest, make up all caked up on it. I dropped a contact on the floor and doctor was going to allow me to put it in my eye until I mentioned it again. The doctor seems to be just going through the motions. To may follow up appointments for contacts. Also the ladies are nice, but there’s no real initiative when you’re standing at the front desk waiting to be acknowledged and then you’re rudely acknowledged to sit down but unsure if they know what you’re actually waiting for while they stare at you. I wouldn’t go to this location again.
I am a new patient at Visionworks, and I only went to them because I have a new insurance carrier and my preferred provider (LensCrafters) is no longer covered under the new insurance. I will start by saying that it was very easy to schedule appointment online. This location is easy to get to, and I received new order within estimated window. Upon walking in, the place just looked unkempt. The receptionists/sales people in front weren't dressed in a business casual or professional way for the job (my visits were not on a Friday). I check in and begin looking at the frames. I didn't have to wait long before being called by the eye tech, who completed my 3D eye scan. She was friendly. I expected similar for when I met the eye doctor (Dr. C Qin), but my experience ended up being different. I'm used to a bit of small talk when I visit my health providers, they ask how I am and if there are any concerns, especially if it's my first visit with them. When I get my teeth x-rayed, I review the pictures with the Dentist. Any exam/test done with my medical doctor are reviewed with my medical doctor. When I met Dr. Qin, he didn't review the 3D eye scan with me. He didn't ask about any concerns. He just had me sit down and then proceeded to do the vision test. Once that was completed he sent me on my way. I purchased two pairs of glasses from Visionworks and, while I love them, I won't be returning to any Visionworks location when it's time to re-examine my eyes. I will be going back to LensCrafters and will happily pay 100% out of pocket for it.
