The staff there was fine! But as for the company itself, it was hell! My son and I drove well over a half hour away to be there just over 3hrs. The doctor was on vocation so appointments with doctors were virtual. Which I was not aware of. A lot of people had to wait for a long time to get someone on the call. The nurse kept calling to get someone on. She didn’t have success a lot of times. The office closes at 5pm and there were still people there after us. After we were finally seen by the virtual doctor, we went to orders classes and his prescription was not coming through at all! The lady who works there said she would give me a call in the morning to purchase the glasses so I didn’t have to drive all the way back to do that (I just filled my gas tank at $4.19 a gallon) By the time we left I looked at the time, we were there for 3 hours and 10 minutes. After leaving I realized they didn’t have my correct number due to it being put in incorrectly by another employee. I called them this morning to find out they’ve were trying to get in touch with me. Yesterday was completely unacceptable for the company itself to do that to everyone and the workers there! Over 3 hours is ridiculous! I was thankful the nurse and the lady we ordered the glasses from were very nice and doing the best they could! I can’t remember the nurses name but the other ladies name is Lori! The company needs to do a better job when the doctor is out! Updated: I just looked at past reviews regarding the Telehealth situation. How has this NOT BEEN FIXED!?!?!?

I took my son to get glasses yesterday and Ken was so rude to my son and I that I literally contemplated just canceling the order and going elsewhere to get my son’s glasses. I don’t know if he was dismissing me because he thought wasn’t going to spend money because my sons insurance or that he was just a jerk naturally but it really made me feel like I should have just left. He was rude when I asked him about the glasses the insurance pays for, he walked away while I was talking to him 3 times, or would be super sarcastic and it had me feeling so uncomfortable and wondering what I did for him to act like that. I was super nice and it’s not like I was a random walk in coming in before the store closes, I had an appointment that was scheduled for a month and I scheduled because of my experience I had personally with someone else and they was way nicer to me. But that!?! It had me so uncomfortable and feeling like I was wrong for being there to buy glasses at a place that sells glasses. Ken if you hate your job or can’t be nice to customers, how about get a different job sir. I’m still thinking of canceling my order and going elsewhere with my sons prescription. Once thing is for sure is I will be telling someone in Visionworks customer service about this incident. Everyone has been nice to me there but that? Was so bad I would consider going elsewhere. Especially cause if he gets commission off of the glasses I paid for, he absolutely doesn’t deserve it.
It was my first time at Vision Works. I was very impressed how well organize it is. Dr Beth Sandy took the time with me and did all the tests to see how my eyes were. She explained everything in detail. She saw something in my eyes and she didn't make a rush decision but gave me a referral to see an eye specialist to see what they say. I like that in a doctor. I wasn't rush to pick out frames. The lady really helped me with that. I'm looking forward to dealing with Vision works in the future. Great job!!
The people who work here are so nice and helpful. I do wish it were easier to call in. I've been having to call in a lot to get things straightened out, and I keep getting stuck on hold/ directed to a full voicemail. It would be great if you gave us a direct number to call back when we're returning your call, giving you the OK to order our lenses, etc. instead of making us go through a corporate phone tree.
There were a couple of reasons about the bureaucracy of this company to leave less than a 5-star review—the nightmare phone system, the difficulty of walking in to pick up an order when everyone has the same idea (avoid lunch hour!)—but the two lovely women who helped me absolutely made up for it. The optometrist was amazing, too. I wish I recalled all their names. The person who did my vision test was a shorter-statured woman with dark hair and chic glasses, and the women who helped me find glasses was the lovely lady with a bob who wears a mask. The latter was extremely patient with my silly vanity and helped me find a great pair utilizing my insurance to the max. She was patient, tasteful, and very kind. Bonus: now I can see really well! Thanks, queens! See ya next time.
