I've had an outstanding experience with Visionworks from start to finish. The entire team was professional, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure I received the best possible care. From check-in to the eye exam, everything was well organized, and I never felt rushed. The doctor took the time to explain my vision, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood my options before making any decisions. The staff was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly helpful when it came to choosing the right frames and lenses. They offered honest recommendations without any pressure and made the entire process enjoyable. The office was clean, modern, and welcoming, creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout my visit. It's refreshing to find a place where customer service and professionalism are clearly a priority. I left feeling confident that I received excellent care and great value. I highly recommend Visionworks to anyone looking for quality eye care, experienced professionals, and outstanding customer service. I'll definitely be returning for my future eye care needs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice store and l received the best customer service while there. The associate employee number 19896 was very helpful, patient and kind. She allowed me to take my time while looking for new glasses. The experience was great. I definitely recommend this Visionworks here in Greensboro, NC.
I had such an amazing experience with Matt, the General Manager (I hope I got that right) at Visionworks Store 327 in North Carolina, that I felt compelled to share. I was calling from Maryland around 10:30 AM on a Monday trying to help my daughter, who is a college student in NC, get a last-minute appointment. From the moment Matt answered the phone, his energy was absolutely contagious. Before I could even get into why I was calling, I found myself complimenting him on how positive and welcoming he sounded, especially for a Monday morning. He took the time to really listen and quickly found a way to get my daughter scheduled for the same day, which was a huge relief. What impressed me even more was finding out that he’s the General Manager. It speaks volumes that someone in his position is still on the front lines, answering calls and delivering that level of service. He truly sets the standard for what great customer interaction should look like. Honestly, this was Chick-fil-A level customer service (lol), something you don’t always expect, but absolutely appreciate. After my daughter’s appointment, she confirmed that the in-store experience matched his energy and professionalism perfectly. Matt is exceptional and should be training teams across the board. Visionworks is lucky to have him!
So glad we went to Visionworks! The customer service there was excellent! I felt like everyone knew their job very well! Really appreciate Isaac taking the time to help me pick the perfect glasses.
Located at Visionworks Plaza on the corner of Holden/West Gate - you can book online or calling their AI system. Just be aware that you'll need to finalize your information if you're trying to use insurance. The process can be swift with a VSP, Davis, Spectera (United Heathcare), and especially if you have a pre-loaded card to spend. But, if you're out-of-network, with an insurance like Humana (EyeMed) - things get tricky. Because the staff will tell you verifying insurance takes so long they'll have to reschedule the appointment. Just tell 'em "speak to a representative" and make 'em earn your business. You CAN keep your scheduled appointment same day. Some of the other reviews mention that staff was less pleasant to certain demographics... this is the world today. Economics allow some of the potential patients to receive disservice, but they become ghosts and there's no data to track the people turned away because someone didn't want to verify insurance or break away to dedicate time to their visit. Ask about the line item prices: Standard Non-Glare ($110) is the same quality as Elite Non-Glare ($145), the difference is some water and scratch resistance. Insurance co-pays from Tier 1 up-to 2 will double; Upgrading progressives from Standard to Premium can add $75-$175, but they have a simulator where you can see the difference in performance. Remember line items add up at the end... There is a big difference in getting Poly or Hi-Index lenses. The pricing can change $20-250, but for people with difficulty this can be money well spent. Be aware tho- don't get caught in slick language... Poly is scratch resistant and thinner than plain/plastic lenses. Hi-Index is a premium feature that runs $445 for Single Vision or $675 for Progressive. Insurance can help, but has steep co-pays for these choices... So what can help? Deals - 2 plain single vision frames for $59 or progressive for $99; 50% off any eyeglass frame or lens+frame purchase, and 60% off any frame or complete lens+frame purchase (up to 2 pairs). These coupons are mailed out, so make sure your address is correct, they also come via email so add it in when booking. These coupons are also, in store at times - so ask. My personal visit was Telehealth (this is a virtual IN Office visit, not an actual remote visit like the word implies) - never had any issues with prescription. Still not a fan of the progressive lenses. Just a personal experience. I prefer glasses for reading only. Staff is usually pretty good about fixing frames that are out-of-balance, replacing nose pads, and re-attaching arms that are only missing a screw. Broken arms and such - there's replacement parts on Amazon for $10 or less. For all other issues - buy the $39 warranty. Its 13months long and will get you to the next eye exam for updated glasses next year.
