I have been seeing Dr. Stone since about 2008 and have come to Wake Ophthalmology ever since. They treat everyone like their own and are thorough. All the staff is always very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend.
Everything about my experience with Wake Ophthalmology has been excellent. I saw Dr Compton for my cataract surgery and follow up. The Optical shop helped me with new glasses, making adjustments to get the fit just right, and they helped me with updated glasses for my work/computer. The experience was great and the entire team worked well together, keeping my experience as a patient and customer in mind. I always felt cared for by a team of experts caring for my eyes. I love my new glasses, I have received lots of compliments on them, and most of all, I love being able to see clearly again.
Dr. Stone is a fantastic ophthalmologist. My family and I have been seeing him for many years. I travel 30+ minutes to be seen by him because he is such a great doctor. He is incredibly intelligent, personable, and professional, and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. I had a few urgent eye needs recently and Dr. Stone and his team immediately fit me into his schedule, which was a huge relief because I was in so much pain. I also appreciate the amount of time he spends during the visit. I never feel rushed and I can always trust in his care. Highly recommend Dr. Stone and Wake Ophthalmology!! The front desk and clinical team are also amazing and very friendly!

While the doctor at Doctor Stone was professional, my experience with the front staff was extremely disappointing. They were unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. I received conflicting information about insurance from every staff member I spoke to, and when I asked for clarification, I was met with a loud and angry response. One of the receptionists appeared to be under the influence, with slurred speech and red eyes. I had to repeat a simple question multiple times, but she was unable to provide a clear response. The front staff's attitude needs immediate attention, with proper training and drug checks to ensure a professional and respectful environment. Overall, the staff's incompetence and poor attitude left me dissatisfied, and I will not be returning.
