The staff are friendly for the most part. But this store CANT handle the amount of people. Come on in on a Friday evening or Saturday evening and you will be waiting at the self-checkout for at least 30 minutes because for some reason they love to have half of the slef checkouts not work and only have three or four working on the busiest days. And don't even get me going on the grocery pick-up. you will wait an hour or more between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. so don't do it!! one time I waited 2 hours and 18 minutes true story!!

I am a diehard Wegmans girl but I gave this Walmart a chance last night to try and complete my bi weekly grocery run. I was absolutely blown away by the variety of brands. It was so exciting and refreshing to see so many new things that I don't usually get a chance to shop. The produce looked fantastic, the selection was vast, the prices even better. It was the most fun I've had grocery shopping in what felt like years and I throughly enjoyed the playlist of music. I spent TWO hours there, normally I just run in and get tires and grab steaks (best ribeyes around), every aisle had a killer find and I couldn't believe how much money I was saving. I'm a mom and I couldn't believe what an amazing price the pull ups are, and on top of that the rollbacks on toys were SO helpful for my son's upcoming birthday. To top off an already great experience, Kaitlyn was my cashier and told me she works 5 days a week there as a highschopl student and was so nice to talk to while checking out. She probably thought I was crazy when I started raving to her about my shopping experience but she totally entertained my gushing. I would love to see more organic/dye & preservative free offerings but overall, the improvement this store has made over the years is definitely something to be proud of and worth so much praise. I'm excited to come back for more big runs. Thank you for shaking up a weekly routine for me, awesome spot to shop!!!!

The Walmart in Macedon, NY truly goes above and beyond for their customers! Huge shoutout to Melody, Evans, and Zach for their outstanding service. They didn’t hesitate to go in the back and help me track down the exact product I drove there for. That kind of dedication and care doesn’t go unnoticed—thank you for making my experience such a great one!

I get a free Walmart+ subscription with my credit card, so even though I've always had a pretty negative perception of Walmart I decided to give it a try. I started ordering groceries for pickup in the summer of 2024 and I was pleasantly surprised. It was easy, the people who brought the groceries out to the car were friendly, and they had brands that Wegmans doesn't. And overall it's slightly less expensive than Wegmans and was saving me time, so no brainer. Not long after I got an email about the InHome service (where Walmart employees deliver the order to your house). Now it was saving me even more time. I didn't even have to go to the store. Everything was great until (approximately) the fall of 2025. All of the sudden InHome deliveries started getting canceled. Over and over. It got to the point that just about every order I placed got canceled or pushed to the following day(s). I got fed up with it so I canceled InHome and figured I'd have to go back to pickup. I've mostly gone back to shopping at Wegmans since, but have tried Walmart pickup again a few times. In each case I've had to wait over 30 minutes to get my order. Yesterday my order wasn't ready to ~30 minutes after the pickup window, then I had to wait another 30 minutes once I got there. This has gone from saving time to wasting time, and the cheaper groceries aren't worth it. I'll keep my Walmart+ subscription since I don't have to pay anything for it and since gives me free Paramount+ and gas discounts, but I'm done trying to shop there. Based on my experience over the last year and a half, Walmart knows how to do online ordering/pickup/delivery right, they just aren't currently (at least not at the stores in this area).
