I was at the pharmacy yesterday 6/18/2026 when they evacuated the story. There was a wonderful women here name was Rebecca helping me straighten out a mess with my insurance and several prescriptions. When they evacuated the store I didn't get a chance to thank her and tell her how awesome she made me feel as a customer. Amazing customer service Rebecca. Thank you. Barry Deyette

Shelf prices at the Amsterdam, NY, Walmart, are deceptive and do not match prices when scanned. Personally, I had items scanned for $3 more each at the register. Staff was rude, loud, and insulting. When I took my items to the "Customer Service" desk, I received the same rude and insulting behavior from the "Coach." As I generally spend quite a bit of cash at that Walmart, I will now go elsewhere. They saved $3/ per item, and lost 2 customers, as my friend who was with me, also says she will not go there again. I will advise ALL of my friends and family NOT to go there. The employees should be glad that they do not work for me. They would be out of the door and looking for employment elsewhere. I intend to report the devotion of the price switch to the Consumer General. My advice? Avoid Amsterdam, N.Y. Walmart.
Shockingly, the best desserts out of the three. That being Hannaford, Market 32, and Walmart. And I say surprisingly, because you'd like Hannaford would be the better, but it was in face the worst. I described the baked goods from Hannaford as "stale and chemically", the ones from Market 32 as "all the same flavor; sugar", but now Walmart comes in and actually has unique flavors, good quality, and decent prices. I tried a slew of things like their carrot cake, cheese cake, banana pudding, and Key Lime pie. Out of everything I had the worst was the Cinnamon Bun, which had the obvious state of not having been baked enough. Doughy and it tasted like it. But the best, that carrot cake, was moist, rich, and actually had real cream cheese frosting. Take notes Hannaford, you and your trash "icings". In the end I only spent about $22 for it all, just a few dollar more than I would on a 4 pack from Crumbl, so yeah, not too shabby.
I realize that Walmart doesn't want to pay any of their employees overtime, but when you say you are open until 11 stick to that. I work night shift and the only time it is somewhat convenient for me to come by Walmart is after I get out at 10pm. I came straight here shopped from a list then at 10:52pm April 30th, 2026, when I was going to check out, EVERY SINGLE REGISTER EVEN THE SELF CHECKOUT WAS CLOSED. So everything I spent time picking out is now sitting in a cart because I was unable to check out. This is extremely inconvenient for those that work later shift and need to get supplies on the way home. I understand not wanting people in the store until right at close, but you are punishing customers who are loyal Walmart shoppers and dettering them from wanting to shop at this location!! Whoever made this decision should seriously consider how many customers you are now turning away!
I had to return some post cap lights today 3/17/26 at Walmart in Amsterdam. The guy they had at the service department doesn't belong in customer service, when I got there there was no one in line, he was standing at the counter he made eye contact and proceeded to ignore I was there, then suddenly he found something to do I guess because he just left to go into another room, then cam out and made eye contact again, he seemed to try to appear intimidating when I first arrived and when he finally decided to do his job and help me, his greeting was "what's up" as he looked at me like he wanted to fight, I've never seen this dude before so I know it's not personal, anyway he processed my refund and gave me the receipt, no offer of assistance or reason for the return , no anything, just here's your receipt go away. That's exactly how he made me feel, like I was bothering him by being there. Like I said , definitely doesn't belong in customer service.
