I am a regular Walmart shopper and consistently purchase my outdoor plants here. I visit at least twice a week for of my gardening needs. When I am there I typically see a young man by I think the name of Kyle who I see doing an outstanding job of watering and careing for the plants. When ever I ask a Walmart employee where I can find a specific gardening item they either don't know and are unfriendly at best or send me to the wrong part of the store. Kyle is friendly, helpful and looks like a hard working young man. I recently visited Walmart on an extremely hot day and saw Kyle as I do typically when I visit he was hard at work despite the unbearable heat. I can tell he really cares about the quality of his work, focuses on his productivity and the quality of product on display. I hope he is recognized by his company for dedication and caring not just for the plants but for the customers that engage him.

I have ordered items for 1-day delivery twice and not received them. I called and spoke with customer service at 5:30pm and they assured me that someone was picking up and delivering it tonight. But at 9pm received a “shipment delayed” message. Hire more staff or stop making empty delivery promises.
I've been in there three times. Each time, not a single person bothered to help me. Twice was electronics. I was standing and looking at Switch 2 games. I had people each time who were not busy and just wandering the electronics department look at me and continue walking. Completely ignoring me. Today. I was in toys. I wanted a Harry Potter Lego set. The Hagrid and Harry escape Privet Drive (76459). I pressed the call button once I knew what set I wanted. The device said someone would be with me shortly. And the light blinked blue. After a few minutes, it stopped. I don't know if it timed out or someone just acknowledged the alert. But nobody showed up. After a couple more minutes, I pressed the button again. Again it alerted me someone would be with me shortly. (Note: nobody was ever "with me shortly"). In fact the light stopped blinking much faster than the first time, alerting me that someone knew the button was pressed and chose to ignore it. Eventually, another customer came into the aisle. Asked me if I had pressed the button. Told her I had done it twice with no luck and that I had been waiting a fair amount of time, thinking that people were just too busy or something. But that wasn't the case. There was an employee passing by, who had a cart or something they were bringing somewhere to stock or bring to back room. The other customer told them I had pressed the button a couple times. Nobody has come. I had been waiting twenty minutes. The employee didn't look to pleased to be bothered by us lowly customers. Line we were somehow a nuisance. Asked if we had pressed the button. Asked if we had tried to call anyone over. And when he saw we were getting irate rolled his eyes and walked over and unlocked the case. Which he could have just done without trying to make the customers feel like we were the problems. No apologies for the wait. No apologies for the rudeness of trying to just dismiss us and pass us off to someone else as their problem and not his. Nothing at all to acknowledge their problems. And I get it. I worked customer service and retail for a while. My primary job was not helping customers find what they need. But I still did it whenever I saw someone. I gave a brief hello and asked if I could help them find anything. Especially if they didn't look completely certain of what they were looking for. Or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, knew exactly what they wanted and were just wait for someone to come by. I always stopped for each customer and did my best to help. It never stopped me from get my primary work done. And I was glad to help customers. Even if I ended up walking to the opposite end of the store to help them. With the customer service I received (or didn't receive) on any of the past three visits, I do not find it surprising that they have to lock up more and more merchandise to decrease theft. But if they lock more cases they need people who will do their jobs and help customers instead of waiting behind a desk but l someone comes up, or walking the aisles ignoring customers standing and looking at products. And definitely need to stop acknowledging alerts and ignoring that assistance was explicit asked for by pressing the button. This trip was the final straw and had made it so I am guaranteed not to go there anymore when I can expect zero assistance. And only eye rolls and looking like the employee is being put out by helping a customer.
Their oil changes are advertised to come with an oil filter. When we got there they said to go buy one from O'Reilly and they'd reimburse us for the price. Welp, when we paid for the $70 oil change, they in fact did NOT reimburse us. Luckily we overheard the TLE service manager telling another customer that he was going to drive and buy the filter for them, so we stopped him and mentioned they didn't reimburse us for it. He wasn't going to reimburse until I started getting uppity about it, then he got the higher up manager to do it. It doesn't matter if they're switching suppliers, if they are advertising that the filter comes with the oil change, it should come with it, and if they do not supply it, customers shouldn't have to waste their gas going to get one for them. We may as well be doing our own oil changes, or taking it to mom & pop shops down the road for better prices and services. Which at this point walmart sucks anyway & I think we will be doing that in the future. Editing to add that we had an appointment at 1130, and we didnt get out of there until 130! Whats the point of making an appointment for an oilchange that should only take 30-45 minutes only to have to wait 2 hours? Save yourself the headache, time and money and go elsewhere.
It is what it is, some employees are polite and helpful, others leave A LOT to be desired. Customers can be courteous and apologetic upon collisions, others can be rude. Prices are decent although the partner company LIVIN offers better prices.
