New rep on Sunday 7/12 . Overwhelmed and said she was uncomfortable even putting in an order for glasses!! She let me walk out of the store blind in the left eye after one of Walmarts own trial contacts failed. Told them I am extremely nearsighted and unable to function without vision assistance and she called a supervisor that told her not to do anything apparently?? I understand that dispensing a trial contact lens is ultimately a clinical decision. My concern is that no clinical decision was ever made. After I reported that the trial lens had torn, leaving me functionally unable to drive or safely navigate because of my prescription, staff never contacted the prescribing optometrist. Instead, a non-clinical supervisor instructed them to do nothing. I believe that falls below the level of patient care I should expect, and if this isn’t resolved I’ll be filing complaints with Walmart Corporate and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
