There was no one at the check-in desk, I had to interrupt someone to get their attention. They took me in after an hour of my scheduled appointment time. They struggled to find me under my insurance and telling me I have no insurance active (they kept misspelling my last name was the problem). Dr. Askia Saunders was really, really slow performing the tests and using the laptop - perhaps a mouse will help slash a few seconds of my 90min+ being there. The doctor printed off my contact RX to what he called “wrong printers” - where did they print?, no idea. He sent me over to purchase contacts and the Indian lady was really slow too, not a care in the world of what was happening in front or around her. I finally was able to get out of there after 1hr 45min when I should have been in/out in 30-45min at most. Thankfully I did not have to work that day or have other plans. NEVER coming here again and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place - low stars are for a reason.
The Doctor “I don’t think he should be called a doctor “ is so rude, Late to his appointment and when he shows up he gives me an attitude like it’s my fault he was late, I wasn’t there for a free consultation or free treatment, I was there to get an eye exam paid with my money, his name is Askia saunders, After the incident I got up and left, didn’t even waste my time to be treated like that, Do your self a favor and go see an Actual doctor who understands his patients time and is considerate. The staff on the other hand were nice and apologized about his unacceptable behavior.
I came here tonight to pick up my mother in laws contacts. Some Indian tech named Mimi made me wait 45 minutes because apparently I was violating HIPAA laws by picking up my MIL’s contacts, providing the correct name, DOB, address, phone number AND signing a form in which I checked who I was followed by a signature. Keep in mind I’ve picked up from here a dozen times, but this Mimi gave me the biggest pain of my life to pick up something as little as contacts. When I told her I was a pharmacist and I know my laws, she came up with a different excuse that it was the address that was the issue, and the excuse after that was that the profile had an issue. Funny thing is the optometrist I had called to put the contacts on hold had absolutely no issues pulling up the profile and letting me know I could pick up the contacts today. However because Mimi, being the only employee at the vision center at 7:20 pm, didn’t know how to do her job, I waited 45 mins for her to learn. On top of all that, when she was checking me out at 8:06 pm she had the audacity to tell me she did me a huge favor because she shouldn’t be working past 8pm. If any Walmart supervisor sees this- either Mimi needs a lot more training, or you need to replace her with a new employee. No customer deserves to go through this nonsense.
Upon checking in, the front office told me there was a "hold" on my insurance. She accused me of having an appointment elsewhere and that I was trying to use my benefits at both places. After making a phone call to my insurance company, it turned out the front office made a mistake and scheduled me for an appointment at a different Walmart location. I don't want to point out the obvious, but you'd think they would treat the customers better especially since it's a customer driven business. What a terrible experience. No apologies, flippant attitude.
