Walmart Vision Center

All the women that work in the vision center are rude and not helpful. Walmart needs new employees in the Walmart vision center. The older women are the rude ones, The young blonde girl with short hair is the only professional one that works in vision center. Thank god for her. The older women, the lady with the accent, and the girl with the glasses are rude. They do not deserve their positions. They're supposed to make customers feel welcome, and these ladies don't make me feel welcome.

I have been coming here for several years. They are literally the only place I have found that can get lightweight rimless glasses. Dr. Harris has always done a great job at getting me into the right prescription. The only thing I didn’t like was his persistence that I try a close up contact lens in one eye and one for distance in the other eye. I explained I had tried that somewhere else prior and it didn’t work. There seems to be a lot of complaints about the staff. I have had good interactions with the staff and they have helped me pick out the right glasses for me. The only time I have ever seen them short or less willing to help a customer is when that customer has been persistently difficult. I recently had the pleasure of working with Lindsay. She enquired about my vision insurance and since she was unfamiliar with them, called and then got the info. I needed in order to file for a reimbursement! Lindsay is professional, very down to earth and just a pleasant person to deal with.

Top notch service, 5 stars!! 🙂 Update: 1/19/2026 came in today to get an exam and new contacts received great service from everyone, doc was very caring and professional! Awesome service here, this is my 3rd exam at the Lapeer location and will be back again! Keep up the great work!

I’m not sure if anyone reads these reviews but I would like to go out of my way to commend Dr.Harris on his professionalism and understanding. I have not been to an optician for about 6 years for an exam, so I had forgotten what to expect. I got extremely nervous and started panicking once it was time to dilate my eyes. Dr.Harris never made me feel concerned or embarrassed of how I reacted, and allowed me to lay down and gather myself. He wouldn’t continue the exam until I fully assured him that I was feeling better and more comfortable. For someone who struggles with mental health often, I can not express enough how infrequent it is to have this type of compassion in any public setting. I’m very pleased with how my situation was treated! On top of that, the technician who had seen me beforehand had helped me pick out a brand new pair of glasses. She personally walked around with me, and was super kind about helping me with my decision. “These frames look great with your complexion”, “that pair of glasses are super flattering to your face shape”, “this pair is fairly inexpensive” etc. etc. I’m a very indecisive person and it was great to actually receive genuine help. Needless to say, I had a decent experience and I really appreciate those who were there to assist me today.

I am very pleased with the Megahn and Dr. Harris at Walmart Opitcal in Lapeer. Both very kind and caring. Had been having issues with my eyes. Dr Harris identified my problems with double vision. Recommended prism lenses. Had my new glasses within 4 days. How awesome to be able to see clearly. Thank you.
